Penny’s Piggy Bank or Piggy’s Penny Bank? May 31, 2016

Meet Penny the Piggy. She’s a fundraising mascot for Meals on Wheels. The pennies collected in her Piggy Bank help to provide food for the elderly and other “shut ins” who can’t get out to shop.
But should we call it Penny’s Piggy Bank or Piggy’s Penny Bank?
Either way, feeding the bank fills hungry bellies!
Aah . . . that’s better!

She’s a cutie! Are those pearls she’s wearing?
She believes they are pearls . . . but really they are pirate booty tossed off floats in parades.
either way she’s a perfect mascot for a great program!
It is a wonderful program that has filled many hungry bellies.
What a great idea! Penny really looks well fed. 🙂
Yes, as my Great Aunt used to say of the “well fed” ~> “She hasn’t missed many meals.”
😆
I used to do Meals on Wheels with CH’s Mom. I really enjoyed it. Penny’s Piggy Bank!
Food + Company = just what the doctor ordered.
She is an adorable mascot for a great cause! May she inspire many to fill more bellies Nancy 🐷
Since 1972, the local Meals on Wheels has served 10 MILLION meals ~ an average of over 600 a day for 44 years!
Wow!! Penny should be wearing fake diamonds around her neck. Good stuff Nancy!
Definitely, Penny’s Piggy Bank.
I’ve put your vote in the bucket.
(No secret ballots here.)
Penny’s Piggy Bank. Very lovely cause!
It helps feed both physical hunger AND the desire for companionship. Both necessary to Health and Well-Being.
Meals on Wheels is a great program. Is this for your neighborhood or a city wide project?
The local Meals on Wheels is county wide . . . but “sister programs” are located across the country in other communities.
She is a lovely mascot for Meals on Wheels and I love her name – we have had two dogs over the years called Penny. My hubby volunteers twice a week for Meals on Wheels, its a wonderful program.
I remember that, Barb. Penny is a lovely name for a pet.
Great place for your hubby to volunteer. If I liked driving more (or if there was less traffic around here), it would be at the top of the list for me.
What a great mascot for a great cause, Nancy. I love Penny’s Piggy Bank 😀
Penny is the perfect mascot for a program filling hungry bellies.
I’m partial to piggies of any kind! What a great way to call attention to an excellent fundraising effort. I think Meals on Wheels is a very worthy cause!
As my great aunt used to say ~> “it’s the belly that keeps up the back.” Penny epitomizes that perfectly.
I like Penny’s Piggy Bank. We wouldn’t want to encourage people to give only pennies. It’s a worthy cause. Is TY her baby?
Yes. Looks as if Penny adopted TY, the piglet Beanie Baby.
I can make a reasoned argument for either name for Penny. However, as my dad used to say: it doesn’t matter what you call me… just don’t call me late for dinner! 😉
Wise man, your dad.
And the Ally doesn’t fall far from the tree.
🙂
Cute mascot! Incidentally, both those names are so good, it’s hard to choose. Perhaps you could combine them and say something like Penny Piggy’s penny piggy bank. 🙂
That’s a real mouthful, Bun . . . which ties in nicely with the theme.
It is a bit wordy! 🙂
With those looks, I’m sure she’s doing a good job. And we can all help with that.
She’s a looker, for sure!
Either way, I love what it stands for!
Me too!
