Nothing More Than Something September 10, 2011

A curl
Nothing more than something
Twisted
Of spiral form
Curlicues
More fanciful still
Spiral waves
Curving surely
Heavenward
These steroidal curls
Surely fill
The Curly Bits bill?

Very nice photos. I thought this was a photo challenge at first.
That’s the best part of Sidey’s challenge . . . it’s anything you want it to be.
Poems, stories, essays . . . and even food sculptures!
I like the photos and love the descriptors.
Thanks, NC. I shared your Cape Town SA post with the bloggers I follow from SA. Maybe a few of them have dined (and danced!) at the same establishment.
An unusual take on the theme, I like it 🙂
Thanks, Cin. The first thing I did was a quick search of all posts on SLTW (both published and draft) for the word, “Curly.”
Over 1400 posts and none contained the word “Curly.”
Glad that rather serious omission has now been rectified. 😆
Once again…thinking outside the box…I love it.
Thanks, Granny. Sidey’s themes give us a chance to explore different angles from our norm. Always fun.
They do indeed!
Thanks for another intriguing theme, Sidey!
Curly is a good word and so is your post
It is! And it’s a word I’ve NEVER used before on SLTW ~ over 1400 posts and none contained the word “Curly.”
Until now. 😀
I like these photos very much, they speak of a journey, yet to unknown destinations.
Thanks, Robyn. I agree . . . a path unfolding before us.
They depict the lighthouse stairs on Chincoteague Island ~ just off the coast of Virginia.
I love the photos and all the shapes and forms in them… as always, your poetry is beautiful. 🙂
Thanks, E. Lighthouse stairs resound with a metallic echos as we race round and round, eager to reach the finish line and see the vistas before us.
Well done!
Thanks, Tok. Sidey’s challenge, as per the norm, was a FUN change of pace this week.
