Island Galleries
Firm brush strokes form turquoise seas
Under cloudless skies
Plated hors d’oeuvres make
the rounds as wine bottles, drained
dry, accumulate
Wine, cheese, fruit and art
Sweet offerings from the gods
Tickle our palettes
Bubbles light as air
Rising higher and higher
Popping as they go

Get More FUN Out Of Life By Doing Less September 22, 2011

Many of us have lives that are full to overflowing. We are drawn in so many directions that we have no time to appreciate simple pleasures.
When we overbook our schedules, we don’t have time to enjoy all that each moment offers.
At times, we’re so busy that we miss the moment entirely as we race from one activity to the next.
Having a fulfilling life doesn’t require filling each day to the brim. One way to get more FUN out of life is by doing less.
Have you ever returned from vacation more frazzled than when you left?
Were your days so packed with activities that you barely found time to breath?
Most people plan vacations to have FUN.
Fun isn’t complicated, but it does require a present-moment awareness. We must be where we are, doing what we’re doing.
We tend to have more FUN when we allow ourselves to relax into the moment, letting life unfold . . . smile by smile. When we stop rushing, life has time to weave its magic around us.
Kick back. Relax. Slow down. Let the gentle flow of life caress your stress away.
Sit in silent wonder and appreciate this moment ~ the breeze in the trees, the waves on the beach, the ice cream dripping down the side of the cone.
Aah . . . that’s better!
