Sometimes We Just Know July 2, 2015

Calm certainty floods our being, instilling us with knowingness.
A sudden infusion of intuition wells up from a source far beyond the limits of our mind.
We don’t need to see the whole puzzle to know where this piece fits.
Aah . . . that’s better!
Coincidence is the word we use when we can’t see the levers and pulleys. ~ Emma Bull

Yes, sometimes we just know! No explanation or validation needed, we just know. Happy weekend to you, Nancy!
My favorite feeling! Hope you have a Fab 4th, overflowing with family, friends, food, and fab fun.
Love this!
Thanks, Kate! Hope you have a Fab 4th, filled with the freedom that flows from following the still silent voice within.
If only it would happen with the lottery numbers eh?
It did for me once. 😎
You can read about it here:
I love this Nancy. At this point in my life I can embrace this knowing and trust my intuition more and more. It is very freeing and comforting to come from this place. Thank you for putting it so clearly 🙂
(And thanks for the link!)
Thanks, Val! I’m right there with you ~ going with the flow of instilled knowingness is the best place to be.
Years ago, I took one look at a guy I hadn’t met and KNEW I was going to date him. And I did! We met and sparks flew.
Awesome sauce! It’s so nice when clarity lights our way.
Yes. So thankful for those times. Enjoy your Thursday!
Hi Pix! Me too . . . especially if the still silent voice has been silent for a stretch before sharing a wink, whisper, or nudge.
Hope your Fourth is Festive, Fun, and Full of Fab Food and FREEDOM!
We do. But others don’t always believe us, or heed our words until they come to pass! Someitmes it’s wiser just to know and say nothing. 😉
When my intuition “speaks up,” the message is almost always meant just for me ~ I may share the experience with others but only because mystery and synchronicity is so magical and cool.
I don’t recall ever being asked to act as a conduit or medium for someone else so I’ve never had to persuade someone to believe me.
Thank you for that perspective, Nancy, it has given me food for thought. I shall be more observant from now on. 🙂
My mother is always astounded when I write stories. ‘Where do the words come from?’ she says. I can’t answer that because they just swirl around the atmosphere and then pop into my head. This kind of intuition and infusion of knowledge into the brain isn’t easy to explain – but I don’t mind at all! 😀
It’s great to have thoughts “pop to mind” at just the right moment.
Debating whether to trust my intuition or not at this very moment, NH. Timely.
When my intuition speaks up, I’m flooded with calm certainty which points me in the right direction ~ whether I’m supposed to buy a lottery ticket . . . or a house.
It hasn’t been wrong yet!
We don’t always get that feeling, but when we do, it’s wonderful. A strong feeling of calm certainty has always led me in a good direction. We learn about logic in school; we learn about intuition by experiencing it.
Perfectly put, Nicki! Hope your Fourth is Festive, Fun, and filled with Freedom.
Thanks, Nancy. We’re getting started tomorrow after lunch. Have a fantastic Fourth.
Thanks, Nicki. We have a Cookout/Potluck at the Pool tomorrow evening ~ the whole street (100 villas) is invited, plus friends and family. It’s usually a fun and relaxing gathering. And the pool is great if we want to cool off.
Afterwards, fireworks at the beach. *BOOM*
Enjoy your Big Holiday! I am a believer in ‘just knowing’. I can tell if a woman is pregnant even before she realises it herself … it is in the eyes. Mind you I keep the knowledge to myself until the mum-to-be shares the news with me. I go with my gut instinct it is usually correct.
I’ve never relied on intuition as a “pregnancy barometer” . . . I’ll have to give it a try.
To gut instincts!
I love the Emma Bull quote you shared. I’ve never heard that one before and I think it really is spot on! I am a big believer in “just knowing” and I’m usually pretty confident in trusting my intuition. The times I haven’t have at times proven to be very disappointing!
Every time I read that Emma Bull quote, I think of the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.
Here’s to trusting intuition when it instills us with knowingness.
