Music Monday ~ Anticipation November 7, 2011
Posted by nrhatch in Gratitude, Happiness, Music & Dance, Poetry.trackback
Anticipation
Salivation
Envisioning celebrations of yore
Imagination
Visualization
Creating expectations by the score
Jubilation?
Frustration?
Knowing naught of what’s in store
Anticipation
Expectation
Sometimes Less is More
Remember the past . . . anticipate the future . . . embrace the present.

Is that you with a kitchen full of mini-humans?
*shudders at the thought*
It is me . . . with a kitchen full of our favoirite kids (nieces and nephews from NJ, CO, and FL).
yay! they look like they are enjoying life…wooohooo!!
You look scary in that photo, poor kids … *runs like hell before Nancy can throw a punch*
(Thanks for the ping *smile*)
Moi? Scary? 😉
Love Carly!
Me too! We have several of her CD’s ~ my favorite, Coming Around Again 😀
Remember when that song was used in the ketchup (catsup)commerical? Hunts? Heinz? Can’t remember which.
Heinz. Lisa included it in her post ~ Emancipation from Anticipation. 😀
Ever since Sidey posted the theme, I have been humming that song, and envisioning a bottle of Heinz ketchup! 😆
An-ti-ci-pay-ay-shun. . .
Same here . . . except for the Heinz. 😀
Nice take on the theme, Nancy 🙂
Thanks, bluebee.
Beautifully constructed, Nancy.
Thank you.
John
Thanks, John. Anticipation encourages us to move from where we are to where we want to be . . . but often tests our patience when it keeps us waiting. 😀
Nice post. She looks like she’s in your backyard.
That’s what I thought! 😎
You and the young cooks look very happy indeed in that picture, Nancy. Heartwarming post.
Wish we could all get together like that every month or so . . . instead of living 1000’s of miles apart.
It’s been ages…good to hear that song again, Nancy.
Glad you enjoyed, Amy. I’d never seen the video ~ singing at water’s edge suits her.
Good song pick. I like a few of Carly’s songs (You’re So Vain is probably my favorite) so it was a good listen 🙂
That’s a great song . . . the lyrics stayed the same, but as I grew the words infused with new meaning.
I could watch Carly Simon sing that for days!
Yay! Glad you enjoyed. My favorite lines:
We . . . can never know about the days to come
But . . . we think about them anyway
Well done!
I love the kitchen the best 😉
Thanks, Tok! I love that shot too.
Such a beautiful, mellow quality to her voice I’ve always loved…
Yes. Even when she sings nursery rhymes, like the Itsy Bitty Spider, she holds my attention.
Love Carly and can listen to her for hours.
I put her on for Happy Hour yesterday . . . very soothing sounds.
It’s been a while since I’ve heard Carly sing… I like this song. 🙂
I’m working on catching up again after a hectic workshop week again. 🙂
