Until we find our passions and pursue them, we linger in a dressing room, of sorts, trying on different possibilities.

In time, we adopt a suitable persona to coordinate with our current interests . . . until they no longer interest us.

Over time, we are surrounded by many discarded interests ~ time consuming foci that absorbed us for a time . . . until something else attracted our attention.

These might include writing, doing puzzles, singing, arts & crafts, reading, blogging, playing an instrument or video games, dancing, clubbing, doom scrolling, photography, history, travel, hiking, biking, cooking, painting, poetry, pottery, gardening, etc.

Most of my discarded interests fall within the purview of saying, with a shrug, “it was something to do.”

While those around us might prefer that we remain consistent (so they know what to expect in their interactions with us) . . . we won’t get a gold star for consistency.

We only get a gold star for authenticity.

“You are allowed to outgrow places, habits, and people.” ~ Etheric Echoes (Tuesday’s Thoughts #10).

Be brave.  Be who you are.  Here and Now.

Stay passionate!

Aah . . . that’s better!
