In honor of the hallowed holiday of Halloween and All Hallow’s Eve, please enjoy some scary and spine-tingling sights encountered on our recent Tallahassee trip.
First up, imagine Ron Weasley meeting this Beastie in the Forbidden Forest ~ he’d be as petrified as he would be on encountering a dementor.
Like this one.
Here’s an eye-opener from our morning stroll at Goodwood Museum and Gardens ~> what’s left of the Greenhouse after howling hurricane force winds stripped it bare back in 1985.
You would think they’d have managed to tidy up after 36 years. Just saying.
But the scariest sight by far? Scarier than ghosts and ghouls and goblins . . . and things that go bump in the night?
A truly frightening sight?
Three determined Girl Scouts selling Girl Scout cookies who refused to accept “NO” at face value.
Have a Spook-tacular Halloween!
Who can say no to a girl scout cookie?
I’m not a big fan of G.S. cookies . . . when my nieces were selling them, I would buy boxes for THEM to eat. Simpler all the way around.
Then I would enjoy extraneous calories in Salty Crunchy Chips!
Not a big fan either but if they have the lemon variety, I like those. Overall I’m not a big cookie fan. I only bought when someone I know (or more likely their daughters) were selling them.
I used to like the chocolate covered peanut butter ones and the shortbread ones. But it’s been years and years and years.
They’re all pretty scary.
Hope your Halloween was a delight . . . not a fright! 😯
The Girl Scouts one made me laugh out loud!
Me too! Hope your Halloween was Happy!
These are cute. I love the one about free kisses. Yikes!
I’m guessing her booth wouldn’t make much money at the county faire!
Great pictures, Nancy!
Thin Mints are my favorite GS cookies – but I’m getting less & less interested in ‘cookies’ in general. \0/
Thanks, Karen! I still enjoy fresh baked, warm from the oven cookies ~ especially oatmeal raisin ~ but pre-packaged cookies have lost their allure for me too.
Oh yeah – fresh oatmeal/raisin for the win!
Hey – I’m getting back into the WordPress game (gently). Curves’nAngles is back, baby!
I’ll swing by soon, Karen. Thanks for letting me know!
The “Free Kisses” sign is really funny! I enjoy Halloween decorations, although we really never have done much ourselves. I think at heart I really do find them a little unsettling. LOL! I’m not a big fan of Girl Scout cookies either, Nancy. For a few years you could buy them and the troops would send them in military care packages. I thought that was terrific!
I usually do a small Halloween display inside ~ a witch made by a potter, a small cauldron, a candle with suitable shades and aromas, and a sprinkling of Halloween candy . . . but nothing elaborate.
Shipping Girl Scout cookies overseas = PERFECT!
