A Quick Quip September 29, 2021

Posted by nrhatch in Happiness, Humor, Joke, Life Balance, Mindfulness.

There was a great quote on JoyRoses blog yesterday:

If you hear that someone is speaking ill of you, instead of trying to defend yourself, just say:

“He obviously does not know me very well since there are so many other faults he could have mentioned.”

Aah. . . that’s better!

I like that! 🙂

Every Tuesday, Carolyn (JoyRoses13) shares 10 “Nuggets of Gold” ~ quips, quotes, and queries. Visitors “vote” for their favorites. #1 (shared above) was my #1 pick this week.

I always like that approach.

Me too. It reminds me of some of the zingers that Jane Austen used to put people in their place.

Ha! I like it..

nrhatch - September 29, 2021

It says so much.

We humans must hang together, and let go of judgments😀

nrhatch - September 29, 2021

And not get “hung up” on the judgments of others ~> far better to laugh at their attempts to “cut us down.”

6. Debra - September 29, 2021

Fabulous! What a great response! 🙂

nrhatch - September 30, 2021

Made me laugh out loud!

7. L. Marie - September 30, 2021

Great advice! I wish I were that mature!

nrhatch - September 30, 2021

Today you are you!
That is truer than true!
There is no one alive
who is you-er than you!

Shout loud . . . “I am lucky
to be what I am!
Thank goodness I’m not
just a clam or a ham

Or a dusty old jar of sour
gooseberry jam!

I am what I am!
That’s a great thing to be!
If I say so myself,

~ Dr. Seuss
