Like a Mandala

We must let go of the past

As it emerges

How caught up are you in your story? How much time do you spend defending your reputation with others? Are you ready to let it all go?

Come into the present and Just Be. Notice the underlying feeling of pleasure that saturates the palette of your mind.

It has nothing to do with your story. It is unaffected by your reputation.

It doesn’t come from somewhere and it can’t go anywhere. It exists outside time and space.

It is always there and will never leave you. It is eternal.

When you let go of all thoughts and mindfully observe . . . you’ll catch a glimpse of this very subtle sensation of joy.

Aah . . . that’s bliss!

One blessing of age is that you no longer care!

nrhatch - April 27, 2021

It’s good that aging is often accompanied by valuable benefits ~ wisdom, joy, bliss, calm, and inner peace. Namaste!

Yes, too bad it also comes with aches, pains and lack of energy! 🙂

Says the woman who MOVED in the middle of a pandemic, mid-winter, after a snow storm, with 4 cats, and a hubby . . . and then tackled the trim! 😀

Lovely post Nancy 🙂

Thanks, Rainee. Hope you get a few glimpses of joy today.

You are enough. Odd to me how that idea needs to be expressed/reinforced but it does. Well said here.

nrhatch - April 27, 2021

Thanks, Ally. Every time I’ve taken the time to take a glimpse within, that joyous core is always there. Waiting for me to be mindful of its presence. Recharged, I can face the day. Because, as you say, we are enough as we are. I am that I am.

Wise words from a lovely being. Thank you Nancy 💕

Thanks, Val. To Bliss!

It took me a very long time to work through attachment to my story, and I must wonder if put to the test it might come back to bite me, but I think any remnants that were holding on quietly disappeared this past year. A benefit of isolation was tuning in much deeper to what matters to me. Freedom!

nrhatch - April 28, 2021

That’s wonderful, Debra. It’s great to feel that we’ve accessed a greater degree of freedom by being true to ourselves and focusing on what matters to us at a deep level. To Freedom!

All great reminders, Nancy. I continually have to pull myself back into the present moment. Your words hit home. I especially love “eternal.”

nrhatch - May 3, 2021

The present moment is a good place to call home!

I try I try!! Publishing my books is a great way of letting go of my ego and just sinking into the Now (otherwise I’d be too afraid!).

Tapping into our inner well of contentment = just the ticket!
