Behind the Story on Beauty |
I’m in! Yesterday my magic was painting the inside trim. It will take several days to get it all done but I’ve eliminated the neon white the last owner used. It was magic when I did a section. Love the softer color.
Go you! I’m glad that you’ve got the necessary enthusiasm to follow your dreams, first by moving and then by transforming your place to reflect your tastes. You’re an inspiration!
Did you notice that Donald is painting in one of the 3 “Related” posts? 😀
Yes, I like this idea. Dare I say it’s magical?
Have a day overflowing with magical moments!
That looks like my kind of magic! 🙂
We enjoyed a bit of beach magic this morning ~ a walk on the beach followed by a walk on the AMI pier where I sampled a Strawberry Orange Mimosa Ale from South Beach Brews.
I am feeling Friday Festive!
Today I got together with my niece and nephew and their two sweet little kids for the first time in a year. We all ate birthday cake at my sister’s house. We hugged and we talked. It was magic.
Kids are my kind of magic too ~> the best boost ever!
Great advice! I would only add “stop worrying’ (though that is two words rather than one) mainly because that is what I do most. I even bought some lotion called CALM to remind me to chill.
It is hard to stop worrying . . . it is far easier to give your mind something else to think about. Even if it’s just a “distraction.”
But I say that knowing that all my basic needs are met, I have reasonably good health, a great life companion, and we live in a reasonably safe area. I’m not sure I would have the necessary mindfulness to avoid all worry if there were bombs dropping over head . . . or a war raging around me . . . or if I was surrounded by hungry wolves . . . or [insert your favorite fear here].
“Worry is interest paid on a debt not yet owed.” Stay chill!
Great advice, Nancy. Keeping busy doing things I enjoy is my magic recipe. 🙂
Me too, Sylvia. What I enjoy doing changes over time (especially when factoring in a pandemic) but I try to enjoy as many things each day as I can:
*Stuck on the drawbridge? ~> enjoy the view of passing boats
*Soak up the sun on our morning walk
*Feel the breeze on our afternoon bike ride
*Savor each bite of MY morning croissant avec cafe au lait!
*Follow the notes of a favorite CD
I like it! I have a similar one – imagine, incubate, create 🙂
To creating the times of our lives!
