Don’t Let Them Dull Your Sparkle January 7, 2021

Exist to be Happy . . . not to impress.
Do it for you, not for them.
Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.
Aah . . . that’s better!
The funny thing is that no one dulls my sparkle except me. For some reason I take what I think way too seriously!
You’re not alone. Sometimes we dull our sparkle to avoid certain scenarios and situations. It can become a habit.
Shine on, sister!
Thanks for the sparkle Nancy ๐

I am sure that you’ll go far!
I agree. One thing 2020 highlighted for me is that sincere people help you shine, while insincere people try to dull your light.
I had a boss once who tried to hide my light under a basket . . . to her detriment. She lost my loyalty to her. Instead, I focused on my loyalty to the University.
Interesting. Sooner or later we all learn that not everyone is on our side. ๐
True dat!
One of the outcomes of a raging pandemic is that we are going on 10 months of extreme isolation. I haven’t had a social event or even been in a grocery store in all that time. So, I’ve lost the ability to even think about impressing anyone else. I suppose that’s an upside of the whole thing. ๐
I hear ya, Debra. Some politicians/celebrities are still seeking applause, acknowledgement, accolades, awards, and approval in the midst of the pandemic. But for most of us, the pandemic has provided us with an opportunity to “just be” as we hang out behind masks. No applause necessary!
More great advice! I’ve been allowing the dulling to happen too frequently. ๐
Get your sparkle on, baby!
Shine on, Nancy. ๐
Thanks, Sylvia. My favorite way to shine is by spreading smiles and laughter around like confetti . . . with the occasional song thrown in for good measure. ๐
Perfect! ๐
