Baby, It’s COLD! December 1, 2020

Two days ago, I hiked the beach in shorts and flip flops.
Building Santas in the sand!
Yesterday, it rained all day, punctuated by bursts of breeze.
Today, I’m a Chilly Pepper, all wrapped up with no place to go.
Of course, when I stay inside . . . I can go mask less!
Aah . . . that’s better!
Love the sand man!
It’s going to be too cool for the beach for the next few days. I’m not ready for this!
On the plus side, I’m apt to get more things done at home. Tree’s out. House is decorated with Santas & Reindeer. And I’ve started wrapping presents. Not bad for December 1st. 😯
Too cute with the Sand Santa! Curl up in a blanket with a warm drink.
Now you’re talking! I will probably bury myself below a blanket right after dinner. COZY!
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving ~> hang on! Here’s comes Christmas!
I love wrapping myself in a blanket with a good book!
We did have a nice Thanksgiving, hope you did too! It was different but nice. Took a walk which isn’t typical for Thanksgiving! Not walking weather now though!
Yes, Christmas is around the corner! Turn on the music. 🙂
Yup. Time to crank up the Carols!
Stay well, happy, and WARM.
Love it! Most of Australia has had its hottest November on record but our little corner in the South West has had its coldest and wettest in 12 years! Heaters and electric blankets!!!
Heaters & electric blankets can be lifesavers. We don’t have any electric blankets, but we did turn on the heat this morning ~ first time since last winter.
It’s a “balmy” (as in, “apt to drive me balmy”) 43 degrees outside.
Stay cool! 🙂 and warm!
Thanks, Rainee. We should be a bit warmer today. Fingers crossed.
I’m with you. After being used to warmer weather, it’s hard to jump into the cold.
I haven’t started decorating, but I have a good start on my Christmas cards.
I’m used to more subtle dips in temps here. This has been a drastic dive bomb!
In the “olden days” of my youth, especially as a time-crunched attorney, I put Thanksgiving weekend to good use:
Thursday ~ enjoy the bird & the Macy’s parade; make soup
Friday ~ put on Christmas Carols, decorate the house, and type out a newsletter to enclose with Christmas Cards
Saturday ~ bake dozens of Christmas cookies and wrap presents
Sunday ~ address Christmas Cards and package presents for mailing
It was an assembly line of holiday prep that rivaled Santa and his elves. Now in MY “olden days” . . . I take a more leisurely approach to things. And I do NOT bake dozens of cookies!
We were the same. Warm, then wet and horribly windy and now cold. No sand snowmen though…
☹️
Yesterday morning, it was WARMER in Hartland Vermont than it was here! That was an eye-opener. 😯
Wet, windy, and cold = BRRRR! At least you’ve got that cozy barn where you can hang out, drink, and play pool!
