Getting tired of the same old view out your window?  Visit Window Swap & turn your desktop into a calming portal to somewhere else.

In just moments, you can be transported to India, Spain, Belarus, the UK.

You might even enjoy a cat’s eye view out of a window in Qatar!

Aah . . . that’s better!

I’m going to have to take your word on this, Nancy. After losing everything on my laptop, I’m paranoid to swap!

nrhatch - July 29, 2020

I didn’t swap either . . . I just snuck a peek through the posted windows.

I got the link from the NY TIMES and it says it’s a secure website, but in your case I’d be cautious too!

Jill Weatherholt - July 29, 2020

I did take a peek outside of my own window and saw some hummies battling for control over the feeder! 🙂

nrhatch - July 29, 2020

Yay! There’s no place like home!

I visited about 25 countries . . . and didn’t see a view that appealed to me more than the view outside my window.

Erica/Erika - August 2, 2020

Jill, I ended up opening a portal in London, UK without swapping. Huge darn on losing everything on your laptop! I just read how your book is being released (born) in a month. I am excited and I look forward to reading on my Fall camping trip ❤️

Jill Weatherholt - August 3, 2020

Thanks, Erica! Enjoy your trip. ❤

Thanks for this Nancy … although I’m a bit reluctant to venture there as I hear so many scamming stories these days.
it is a time for discernment and connecting to tried and true in many ways 💕

nrhatch - July 29, 2020

The NY TIMES shared the link in its daily Covid update (as a diversion) so I felt confident enough to click on the link. That said, I was a “peeping tom” and didn’t share the view from my room. 😯

What an interesting concept…. shame the fear of hacking will probably stop me from checking it out.

nrhatch - July 30, 2020

I’ll let you all know if they hacked into my computer . . . if I can!

Here’s a blog post with scenes from 16 of the windows:

And here’s a discussion on Business Insider with a picture out a window in Italy:

How fun! Although it looks like a lot of inner city apartment living. Definitely not for me.

nrhatch - July 30, 2020

I felt the same way ~ the view from my window is more appealing to me.

And I like the view from your windows too!

4. Ally Bean - July 31, 2020

Very clever use of the internet. I like my view but am always open to seeing something different once in a while.

nrhatch - August 1, 2020

Me too!

5. L. Marie - August 1, 2020

Thanks for the info, Nancy! Always nice to take in a lovely view.

nrhatch - August 2, 2020

Especially if we can enjoy the beauty in our own backyard! Hope your move is moving along and that you settle in a good spot.

6. anotherday2paradise - August 2, 2020

I’m always happy to look out of my own windows, but occasionally get itchy feet, so I go though my travel photos. One day, we’ll be free to roam again. 🙂

nrhatch - August 2, 2020

We’re missing our day trips around the Sunshine State too . . . let’s hope that roaming is in the cards soon.

7. mybeautfulthings - August 2, 2020

Wow! That was fun, Egypt, Lucerne, New York! I’ll be visiting that site again. Thank you so much for the link. 🙂

nrhatch - August 2, 2020

Around the world in 30 . . . cyber seconds!

8. Erica/Erika - August 2, 2020

Well this is a hoot, Nancy. I had briefly read something about this Window Swap awhile ago, yet I did not investigate further. I have London, UK on my screen right now. I did not have to swap. Interesting!

nrhatch - August 3, 2020

The “pastoral” scenes appealed to me much more than the “city scapes” . . . but it was fun to swing round the world checking out views.

Like you, I didn’t swap my view by posting a 10 minute video from my window. Guess that makes me a Nosy Parker!

9. roughwighting - August 6, 2020

Clever! But so far the view from my window keeps changing with the trees: lime green to deep green to orange to bare branches to snow covered bark, and all the while the birds change too. I’ll stick to that! 🙂

nrhatch - August 6, 2020

I quickly came to that conclusion ~> I enjoy the beauty in my own backyard. But it was a fun diversion for 15 minutes.
