A few days ago, some unsettling feelings were creating inner tension.

I settled into them and watched as they floated away.

Aah . . . that’s better!

Glad you found peace! Hope the unsettled feelings stays away! Love the quote. 🙂
Grab your cup of coffee and just breathe!

Here’s to diving beneath the waves to our reservoir of inner peace, calm, and joy.

joyroses13 - September 25, 2019

Amen!! I am needing to do that this morning. 🙂

Imagine yourself soaring over a coral reef alive with tropical fish . . . and no sharks!

joyroses13 - September 25, 2019

Thanks! I am diving. 😊🌊🌊🌊

Hang on to that peace, Nancy!

nrhatch - September 25, 2019

Thanks. And . . . {{YAWN}} I need a nap!

Sometimes peace is elusive especially when you need it most.

nrhatch - September 25, 2019

It’s like the sun ~ always there, but often obscured by clouds.

Of course, feelings are here for a reason, so I hope you figured out what your unmet need was. Otherwise, I suspect those feelings will return.

nrhatch - September 25, 2019

The unsettling feelings stemmed from a heated political exchange (debate / discussion / disagreement) during which the parties reached no resolution . . .

Accompanied by concern and worry about the future of our nation, the global environment, gun violence, etc. . . .

So, no unmet needs in the “now.” Just dis-ease because I was pulling the future in and crowding out the present.

Tippy Gnu - September 25, 2019

Ah yes, political exchanges have a way of pulling us out of the present. May you have a peaceful, nonpolitical rest of your day.

Thanks. From now until the election, I expect I’ll have to play “Ostrich” on a regular basis.

So sorry things have been so unsettled! Glad things are settling down.

nrhatch - September 25, 2019

Thanks, LM. I’m OK as long as I don’t delve too deeply into news or political issues. I used to be more of an “activist” . . . but I don’t have the emotional stamina for it anymore.

My inner peace is so much easier to find with a little glass of something 🍸🙂

nrhatch - September 25, 2019

There is that! 😀

7. Debra - September 26, 2019

I can be blindsided by one of those days, too, Nancy! Lately when that happens I get out and work in my garden. I get focused on that activity and the unsettled feelings move on. If not, I like Joanne’s idea! 🙂

nrhatch - September 26, 2019

Gardening, Cooking, Painting, Meditating ~ all good plans for shifting ourselves back into the NOW.

And then there’s Joanne’s idea. Cheers!

Dogs drool, cats rule. Or to put it a different way, ego drools, spirit rules. 😉

nrhatch - September 26, 2019

YES!!! Well stated, Ms Bean

9. Endless Weekend - September 26, 2019

Now the question is: what came first, the spirit or the ego? 🙂

Look deep, the answers lie within
We reach the beginning in the end

I really need to try that.

nrhatch - September 27, 2019

Relax.
Just Be.

Aah . . . better!
