We Are Not The Movie August 24, 2019

We are not the movie.
We are not the story.
We are not the screen.
We are not the projector.
We are the witness, watching the scenes unfold with conscious awareness.
From that perspective, we can get caught up in the story OR choose to let go of our desire for a certain outcome.
When we go with the flow and let the story unfold in its own way and time, we become a detached observer, overflowing with mirth.
As joy bubbles up from within, we are one with the Laughing Buddha.
Aah . . . that’s better!

So true, Nancy. Have a great Saturday! Our hummies are going nuts this morning. 🙂
Now that’s a show worth watching ~> hummingbirds!
Better than any TV!
BTW: I tried to get the 9/2/19 issue of WW for your story . . . but Publix still had the 8/25/19 issue at the checkout.
I’ll try again next time I shop.
Very sagacious, Nancy!
Stepping into the role of “detached observer” is a very calm and happy place to be.
Now I’m hungry for donuts!
Eat donuts. Be Happy!
Lovely! Thanks Nancy 💛
Sit back.
Relax.
Enjoy the show.
I think I am happy eating donuts until I get on the scale afterwards?
That &$%# scale! It spoils all our fun. 🙄
Well, the donuts were a surprise! LOL! I love the words you’ve shared here, Nancy. Lately I’ve really been trying to step up my commitment to letting things unfold without my interference. My mother-in-law was such a wise, wise woman! She was excellent at letting life unfold, and often when we would prod her to be more proactive, she’d say, “I’m just going to sit back and watch the show.” I can still hear her voice! 🙂
Thanks for sharing your MIL’s perspective. Sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and see what happens . . . without trying to steer the ship against the current.
And DONUTS! 😛
