Oh man, talk about information overload! My diet, eat less, move more. ๐Ÿ™‚

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

Good point, Jill. That said, I never eat while I’m reading. And I never read while I’m eating. So the more I read, the less I weigh.

Plus I get lots of exercise from turning the pages!

Jill Weatherholt - June 11, 2019

I read while on my elliptical, it makes the time fly! ๐Ÿ™‚

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

I used to read on my exercise bike for just that reason . . . but now that I’m riding a “real bike” around in traffic, I don’t dare crack a book. ๐Ÿ˜€

2. Rivergirl - June 11, 2019

Or… I can just not put on a bathing suit.

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

That works, especially for those of you who live in the Frozen North where the water temps hover in the 60’s all summers. But down here in the Sweltering South, a dip in the pool can be mighty refreshing on the 113th day featuring temps in the 90’s.

Oh, wait . . . did you mean you’ll just skinny dip?! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Rivergirl - June 11, 2019

If I didnโ€™t skinny dip 30 years…. and 45 pounds ago? Itโ€™s highly doubtful I will now..

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

Gotcha. Skinny Dipping is not on my bucket list either. ๐Ÿ˜€

3. Tippy Gnu - June 11, 2019

Who says we spoiled Americans don’t know what it’s like to starve? With all the diets we go on, I think we’re experts at it.

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

Yes! And we are also experts at De-Cluttering all the S-T-U-F-F we should never have bought in the first place . . . but Marie Kondo is glad that we are experts at “overconsumption.”

Tippy Gnu - June 11, 2019

I guess what we can’t eat we have to store somewhere, and keep organized. My favorite place for storing things I don’t use, is the dumpster.

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

Or the donation box at Goodwill.

4. Kate Crimmins - June 11, 2019

Fortunately weight has never been one of my issues. Yay! I eat healthy and lay off the grease except for that occasional bacon slice.

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

Quitting smoking caused my weight to shift in the wrong direction. I would like to shed those 10 pounds before they get “too comfortable.” ๐Ÿ˜›

5. anotherday2paradise - June 11, 2019

Havenโ€™t eaten a donut in years. This vacation is doing me a world of good. Lots of beach walking every day.

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

So glad that you’re having a good vacation!!!

To celebrate our anniversary this year, we are going to trade our beach walks for waterfall walks in the mountains . . . unless we get tired. If we get tired, we’ll just sit on a boulder to watch the water flow past.

anotherday2paradise - June 12, 2019

That works. ๐Ÿ˜€

6. L. Marie - June 11, 2019

And I was thinking about having a donut today!

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

Step away from the donut! ๐Ÿ˜€

7. Behind the Story - June 11, 2019

Forty-five articles! We’re obsessed. And maybe for good reason. I have a hard time keeping my weight down. Desserts and sweet snacks are my weakness.

nrhatch - June 11, 2019

I’ve read a few of them. Definitely some good tips. Nothing on how to douse our cravings though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

8. Debra - June 13, 2019

I’m always tuned in to the “diet dilemma,” but I’m a lifetime Weight Watcher and I find it works for me. I still go to meetings quite regularly for good maintenance tips. I don’t get too comfortable, though, as it’s really easy to put weight back on. ๐Ÿ™‚

nrhatch - June 15, 2019

Trying to get rid of unwanted pounds (and keep them off!) has been part of my life since my teens. No wild fluctuations, but day to day maintenance is required if I don’t want things to spiral out of control. Right now, I just want to shed the 10 pounds I gained when I quit smoking. THEY are NOT cooperating!!!

Debra - June 17, 2019

Good for you for the quitting smoking! That’s a big success! ๐Ÿ™‚

nrhatch - June 17, 2019

It was time . . . And Iโ€™ve made it to the 18 month mark with almost no cravings. So YAY!
