Six Little Stories April 21, 2019

Posted by nrhatch in Humor, Life Balance, People, Word Play.

Goofy-Under-An-Umbrella{1} Once all villagers decided to pray for rain.

On the day of prayer all the people gathered, but only one boy came with an umbrella.

That’s FAITH

{2} When you throw a baby in the air, she laughs because she knows you will catch her.

That’s TRUST

Goofy-Riding-A-Bike{3} Every night we go to bed, without any assurance of being alive the next morning but still we set the alarms to wake up.

That’s HOPE

(4) We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future.

(5) We see the world suffering, but still we get married and have children.

That’s LOVE

grumpy_thinking{6} An old man’s shirt reads: “I am not 80 years old . . . I am sweet 16 with 64 years experience.”

Aah . . . that’s better!

I bumped into by “accident” this morning and decided it was just right for Easter Sunday.

7. Tippy Gnu - April 21, 2019

I must be hopeless. I never set my alarm. But somehow I manage to wake up anyway.

nrhatch - April 21, 2019

I never set an alarm either . . . but not because I believe I won’t be around to hear it. Just the opposite ~> I assume I will hear its jarring alarm when I’d rather still be sleeping.

Tippy Gnu - April 21, 2019

I know what you mean. Jarring alarms are not for retired people.

joyroses13 - April 21, 2019

Yes, someday I will really Not miss the jarring alarm!

Tippy Gnu - April 21, 2019

That day will come, if you keep plugging away. Just keep your hopes up.

joyroses13 - April 21, 2019

Thanks 🙂 Talking about jarring alarms my husband had a drumset alarm clock once. He was a drummer and friends of ours thought this 3 piece drum set alarm clock looked cool.which it did. Not only did it look like a drum but the alarm sounded like a drum solo, cymbal and all!! I shot up in bed so fast when that thing went off! Needles to say that alarm did not last long, though my husband thought it was hilarious!

Tippy Gnu - April 21, 2019

I imagine that drum set may have sustained some damage while you were looking for the snooze button with your fist.

joyroses13 - April 21, 2019

Hahaha! My husband saved it from being damaged by hiding it.

nrhatch - April 21, 2019

That alarm clock sounds like it would be perfect for hard-to-wake people . . . or for the hearing impaired! 😛
