A Key West State of Mind January 31, 2019

I am partial to warm weather.
And palm trees.
And bright colors.
And sunny skies.
This painting by Joanne Sloan arrived in my in-box this morning. Seeing it put me in a Key West state of mind.
Aah . . . that’s better!
Oh! I love it. Sloan captured it all–the blue sky, the palm trees, the comfy-looking house, and especially the colors, bright and pastel at the same time and definitely colorful.
I’ve never been to Key West. I should go sometime.
The closest we’ve been to the Keys is Naples & Marco Island on the Gulf side, the Everglades in the middle of the state, and Miami on the Atlantic.
Soon . . .
That is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, Nancy.
Just seeing it made me S~M~I~L~E! Stay warm!
Very, very Florida. I like it. Where are you going to put it?
I haven’t bought one of her pieces yet . . . but I plan to check out her gallery when we visit Key West. Love her style!
How sweet…
It’s anything but warm, sunny and colorful out my windows right now!
The weather report from most of the country is decidedly dismal at the moment . . .
Negative temps overnight… then Tuesday will be 50 degrees. Crazy!
Get out the sandals! 😀
A Keys state of mind sounds darn good right now. 🥰
I expect that much of the country will breathe a sigh of relief when the temps begin to climb again this weekend.
Oh that’s lovely, Nancy! The colors are so happy and bright. 😁
Yes! Smile-inducing!
Sounds exotic. I understand you can drive to within a hundred miles from Cuba.
OR . . . if you have an amphibious car . . . you can drive straight to Havana!
Make mine a convertible! Don’t forget to pack the sunscreen.
It checks all the right boxes!
Doesn’t it!
Lovely, and I can see how warm and sunny it would make anyone feel. I have traveled so little in my life, but did once visit Key West and it ticked off all the marks for a happy place. 🙂
We still need to visit Key West . . . but I can adopt that “state of mind” without much difficulty. Here’s to the Conch Republic!
