Some mornings, Mr. Coffee sets the tone for the day . . .

With his cheery greeting and aromatic countenance, we are galvanized and fortified, energized and vitalized!

Aah . . . that’s better!

I don’t drink. Never developed the habit. It’s poison, I tell you. Coffee is poison.

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

I enjoy coffee ~ it’s stimulating without being blunt. Barbara Walters would agree, I’m sure! ๐Ÿ˜€

Tippy Gnu - January 17, 2019

Well I guess when it comes to coffee, I can’t be accused of beating around the bush.

2. Kate Crimmins - January 17, 2019

Hmmm….yum. The only smell that is better to wake up to is bacon. Sorry. Don’t know if veggie bacon has the same smell.

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

I am still (after 20 years as a vegetarian) a fan of the smell of bacon! Especially when camping. We also enjoy riding our bikes around in the evening as the aroma of meat sizzling on the grill wafts our way.

It doesn’t make us want to eat it . . . but the smell is delicious.

Kate Crimmins - January 17, 2019

I get that. I can enjoy cooking smells without consuming. I love the smell of butter but it does bad things to my gut. Still…..hmmmmm….

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

We recently tried Beyond Beef plant-based burgers . . . we didn’t like them because they tasted like meat. ๐Ÿ˜€

joyroses13 - January 17, 2019

LOL! I am cracking up for my husband and my youngest, who are both vegetarian love these burgers!

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

Beyond Burgers is a great product for people who want to eat plant-based meals but “miss” the taste of meat. ๐Ÿ’ก

That’s my day every day!

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

Coffee & Tea are such a warm way to wake up . . . especially in the winter months.

4. roughwighting - January 17, 2019

With our Ms. Hot Steamer, we hit a button and 30 seconds later get a hot steamy cup of water for our green tea. Both habits (coffee and tea) are endearing and truly good for us. Good morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

I usually start my day with a cup of tea (1/2 black & 1/2 herbal) and a “sit” in my meditation chair.

Mid-morning, BFF often split a pot of coffee ~ 1 cup each.

roughwighting - January 18, 2019

Sounds perfect to me. I wish I could drink coffee – many benefits for many. Ahhh, enjoy your meditation chair! xo

nrhatch - January 18, 2019

I laugh at how “they” change their periodic pronouncements about coffee ~ it’s good, it’s bad, it’s great, it’s toxic sludge, it’s overflowing with antioxidants, etc.

To all things . . . in moderation. Unless they disagree with us.

I used to only drink green tea at breakfast, but eventually the smell of hubbyโ€™s freshly brewed coffee got me hooked. One small mug of black coffee is now my tipple. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

I like both tea and coffee. I usually start with tea . . . unless I really need a “jumpstart.” ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

anotherday2paradise - January 17, 2019

I have green tea after lunch and later in the afternoon.

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

Tea in the afternoon = perfect!

6. Jill Weatherholt - January 17, 2019

Mr. Coffee rules! K-cups are too small!

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

Agreed!

Jill Weatherholt - January 17, 2019

And expensive!

nrhatch - January 17, 2019

And NOT environmentally friendly! ๐Ÿ˜€

7. Debra - January 18, 2019

I get with Mr. Coffee every morning, and then again in the afternoon. He is my steady companion. ๐Ÿ™‚

nrhatch - January 18, 2019

He’s reliable, dependable, and very supportive! ๐Ÿ˜€

8. William D'Andrea - January 18, 2019

I normally have one cup of instant coffee during breakfast, either Folgers or Maxwellhouse. In the evening I have one cup of tea, usually Lipton’s. They are the highlights of my day.
I’ve got to get a life!

nrhatch - January 18, 2019

Yes! Wake up and smell the roses . . . and the Folgers!

9. Ally Bean - January 18, 2019

We don’t have a Mr. Coffee here, instead relying on a Cuisinart coffeemaker who makes good coffee, but is not so personable as your Mr. Coffee. Truth be told she’s a bit of a diva… but you didn’t hear that from me.

nrhatch - January 18, 2019

Mr. Coffee is down-to-earth and very user friendly . . . but I’ve heard good things about Ms. Cuisinart too.

10. Mabel Kwong - January 19, 2019

I hope Mr Coffee never fails you most mornings. For me, I don’t need Mr Coffee no matter how nice he comes across (though he smells very nice). People at work are always amazed I function without Mr Coffee every single day, late nights and all ๐Ÿ˜€

nrhatch - January 19, 2019

Hi Mabel. Glad that you don’t need a jolt of caffeine to function. To be honest, neither do I.

But I savor the flavor and aroma of coffee. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Mabel Kwong - January 20, 2019

Yes, savour the aroma of coffee. It really is an amazing aroma and sometimes I wish I drank coffee (can’t drink because it makes me feel jittery) ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
