This post is dedicated to the Cheese Lover in YOU!

Eating cheese every day may be good for your heart . . . lowering the risk of heart disease.

And while you’re at it ~> enjoy some wine and chocolate!

Here’s what Dr. Allan Stewart, director of aortic surgery at Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, who was not involved in the new analysis, had to say about the study:

“We’re always are searching for ways to minimize heart disease and reduce atherosclerosis,” he says. “It’s promising to find that something that actually tastes good—and pairs well with a nice glass of red wine—may offer some protection, as well.”

I’m doing cartwheels right now ☺️
🤸🏻‍♂️🤸🏻‍♂️🤸🏻‍♂️ Thanks for sharing Nancy!

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Doing cartwheels is also heart healthy! 😀

Val Boyko - December 7, 2017

Excellent point 😉

2. joyroses13 - December 7, 2017

Love cheese!!! 🙂

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Me too! It doesn’t always love me back, but most of the time I can enjoy it “in moderation.”

3. Tippy Gnu - December 7, 2017

Thanks for passing this along. I’m going out to buy another box of Cheezits.

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Because Cheezits are almost (but not quite) like a reasonable facsimile of pasteurized process cheese . . . and they are colorful!

Tippy Gnu - December 7, 2017

Most of mine are orange, except the slightly burnt ones. And I always throw out the moldy ones.

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Throwing out the moldy ones may be depriving yourself of probiotics that could further lower your risk of heart disease . . . or it could be a life saving practice. 😀

4. Kate Crimmins - December 7, 2017

Love cheese and there is a world of choices beyond Velveeta and American.

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

I never buy Velveeta or American ~ my go to cheese for Grilled Cheese, Nachos, and Quesadillas is sharp white Vermont Cheddar. For cheese fondue, or a cheese tray ~> possibilities abound!

5. Jill Weatherholt - December 7, 2017

I’ve never met a cheese I didn’t like! I eat it with every meal and my cholesterol is very good. Bring on the cheese!🧀🧀🧀

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

I thought of you when dedicating this post, Jill . . . but decided to be inclusive and dedicate it to the collective “YOU.” 😀

Jill Weatherholt - December 7, 2017

Lol!!!😄😄😄

6. Morgan - December 7, 2017

OH this is such Gouda news…lol sorry, that was cheesy…couldn’t resist!

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Haha! Now we can “Just Brie!”

Morgan - December 7, 2017

LOL 🙂

7. Anne Lene @ MinimalistSometimes - December 7, 2017

Oh man, I love cheese – but because of my diet change I’m staying away from it – this is making it ever harder to stay away… gee thanks, Nancy 😉

lol

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Maybe just a nibble . . . now and then? 😀

8. Ally Bean - December 7, 2017

Wasn’t it not too long ago that we were being told that cheese was bad for our hearts? Just saying. Not that I ever stopped eating it. Swiss and Gouda are my favorites. With wine, obviously.

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

Exactly! Coffee is good/bad for the heart. Chocolate is good/bad for the heart. Cheese is good/bad for the heart.

I choose GOOD x 3!!!

9. Joanne Sisco - December 7, 2017

mmm – cheese. I’ve always believed it was good for me … regardless of what anyone says 🙂

nrhatch - December 7, 2017

No doubt they’ll change their minds again . . . and you and me will still be eating and enjoying cheese. 😀

Joanne Sisco - December 9, 2017

Yup – life is too short to not enjoy cheese while we can.

nrhatch - December 9, 2017

Yup . . . one of life’s simple pleasures. 😀

10. L. Marie - December 8, 2017

I had cheese yesterday and the day before!
For Thanksgiving, we had a lovely brie. Sooo good! 😀 😃 😄

nrhatch - December 8, 2017

Cheese is the #1 reason that I’m vegetarian rather than vegan!

11. Debra - December 12, 2017

I’m not a big cheese eater. I don’t dislike it, I just don’t crave it like some do. I definitely enjoy the pairings, however. Chocolate and a nice glass of wine are fine with me. 🙂

nrhatch - December 12, 2017

Chocolate + Wine => a Fine Dine!

12. Tiny - December 12, 2017

Oh, really good news! I’m so protected…cheese and red wine 🙂

nrhatch - December 13, 2017

Huzzah!
