Are You Quizzing Me?! June 17, 2017

It’s interesting to see how desperate some writers are to have us click on posts, articles, and other flotsam and jetsam.
Often, the manufactured titles are downright insulting.
This week I received one of the stupidest quiz “opportunities” ever:
Which Frank Lloyd Wright Building Are You?
If you’ve ever wondered which Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home or building best describes your personality, wonder no longer! This quiz is sure to dig deep into your psyche and pull out a connection you may be unaware you have with one of Wright’s many architectural feats.
I didn’t bother to take the quiz because . . .
(1) I am NOT a Frank Lloyd Wright building.
(2) I have never wondered which Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home or building best describes my personality.
(3) I don’t need to dig deep into my psyche to pull out an imaginary connection to one of Wright’s many architectural feats.
But the quiz did serve a purpose ~> blog fodder!
Aah . . . that’s better!
Have you ever wondered if you are unaware of a connection your psyche has with a building? A car? A toaster? A coffee maker? A bridge?
Me neither.

The thought has never crossed my mind, Nancy. What a strange article. Happy Saturday!
I had a real LOL moment when I saw the link in my In-Box. 😀
Well, this post sure made me laugh! Good way to up-cycle stuff on the way to your trash folder!
Thank you, Maggie! Anything that makes us laugh has at least one redeeming feature!
I suspect you have failed the personality test, and now cannot be hired as an architect.
Bwahaha! I expect you are correct, sir!
The appearance of anyone’s home does say something about it’s occupant. Whatever structural changes he or she have made, does say something. What reveals the most about them, is how they’ve furnished the inside.
Agreed! I happen to like many Frank Lloyd Wright designs, but I’ve never seen that as a significant aspect of my personality. 😀
Hate those quizzes. Find out what flower you are (if you are a flower). Find out your color (damn I like what I like!). Find out what animal you would be (seriously, need you ask?).
You and me both, Kate. I did take a “Which Disney Villain or Hero Are You?” . . . but I don’t remember the result (so it must not have persuaded me).
Besides, I already knew that I was either Mary Poppins or Nanny McPhee!
Lol
I seldom take those quizzes, but I have to admit, I find some of them tempting. I wonder who makes them and why.
The “why” behind this one (by the National Trust for Historic Preservation) was to celebrate Frank Lloyd Wright’s 150th birthday by featuring his contributions to modern architecture AND to encourage people to throw theTrust some $$$s! 😀
I’m amazed at how some of my FB friends seem addicted to doing these quizzes. Get a life! 😅
Haha! There are some legit personality quizzes out there, but many of them are pretty silly.
I have received so many meaningless quiz opportunities as well…mostly from FB friends. Sometimes I wonder what they are up to 🙂
Some people must have too much time on their hands. 😀
This is so funny! I love that you found a purpose for such a silly quiz! Good for you, Nancy!
Thanks, Debra! I like Frank Lloyd Wright architecture . . . but I don’t want to BE one of his buildings! 😀
Wow. I have no desire to take that quiz and be connected to a building. 😦
Yup . . . my personality is a bit more animated than that!
Hey, I could get into that racket! How about, what Disc World character are you, what sort of microbe are you, what century do you come from, what mineral are you, which famous painter should do your portrait … I could go on for ever!
And your quiz questions would be both educational AND amusing!
I see these all the time on Facebook and I wonder why people would bother taking these silly tests. I’m sure there’s dollars attached – otherwise why would they bother 😉
Maybe they’re not being “mindful” of their time? 😀
I have a habit of getting to the 10th ridiculous multiple choice and can’t be bothered with it anymore!
Some quizzes don’t reveal their ridiculosities until question #11.
They really try to drag it out and make you submit to the feeling that you may as well persevere considering how much time you’ve already invested!
Yes! We have to remind ourselves to cut our losses & not throw “good time” after a “really bad use of time.” 😀
