Carpe Diem July 25, 2016

Posted by nrhatch in Happiness, Humor, Joke.

Some days I sport a hair do . . .

And other days a hair don’t . . .

Wait!  I’ve got an idea . . .

Christmas in July!

Aah . . . that’s better!

1. Under the Oaks - July 25, 2016

One word… humidity!

anotherday2paradise - July 25, 2016

Absolutely. That’s my excuse too. 🙂

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

Humidity, salt spray from walks on the beach, chlorine from lifesaving dips in the pool, bed head ~> one H~O~T mess!

2. anotherday2paradise - July 25, 2016

It’s a bit warm for the Santa hat. A baseball cap works, though. 🙂

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

The great thing about “edgy” fashions being en vogue these days is that “anything goes” ~> Santa hat, baseball cap, or football helmet!

3. Jill Weatherholt - July 25, 2016

LOL! At least everyone’s hair looks bad.

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

As long as I don’t have spinach or broccoli stuck in my teeth, I’m good to go!

4. Tippy Gnu - July 25, 2016

From the hairstyles I’ve seen, I don’t think it matters. Let all the cowlicks stick out, and tell people you paid $200 for the do, and they’ll love it.

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

Great tip, Tippy! I shall do just that!

“It’s the new Bed Head is NOT Dead” look. All the rage.”

5. Patricia - July 25, 2016

As long as I have hair I’m happy.

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

That’s a great point, Patricia. One of my college roommates started losing her hair in her 30’s . . . going bald.

“I’m good enough and I’m smart enough . . . and I still have hair!”

6. Bun Karyudo - July 25, 2016

I sometimes wear a hat if I have to go to the supermarket and haven’t washed my hair yet. I’ve never tried a Santa hat, though.

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

From now on, I’m going to take a good look under the hats at the supermarket to see if I see YOU!

Bun Karyudo - July 25, 2016

One of these times, it might be! 🙂

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

That would be fun, Bun.

7. L. Marie - July 25, 2016

Ha ha!! That’s my motto–cover it up with a hat or a scarf. I’m wearing one right now. 🙂

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

I used to wear a bandanna to keep the hair out of my eyes when I was “beer tending.” That might be a good look for the summer months . . . cooler than the Santa hat.

8. Val Boyko - July 25, 2016

These days I’m so grateful for the straw hat I bought in Florida!

nrhatch - July 25, 2016

Shade AND camouflage for bad hair days!

Val Boyko - July 25, 2016

It doesn’t get much better than this 😃

nrhatch - July 26, 2016

Summertime . . .
And the living is messy
Stray hairs are flying
And the frizzies are wild

9. Carol Ferenc - July 26, 2016

There are days I’d like to have that Santa cap to cover my “do.”

nrhatch - July 26, 2016

It’s a very tidy look, Carol. Ho~Ho~Ho!

10. diannegray - July 26, 2016

The humidity makes my hair go very curly – but I don’t mind that at all. A santa hat is required in a dry climate 😀

nrhatch - July 27, 2016

In truth, I preferred wearing my witch’s hat on warm humid days. Alas, my niece’s dog ate it!

11. Tiny - July 28, 2016

The cat’s hair don’t wins!

nrhatch - July 28, 2016

Cats don’t care
About their hair
They pass inspection
With hairball ejection

Tiny - July 28, 2016

🙂 thanks for the poem too, Nancy!

nrhatch - July 28, 2016

My pleasure!

12. Debra - August 1, 2016

i know all about hat hair, but glad I don’t also need to battle cat hair! 🙂

nrhatch - August 1, 2016

One part static electricity + 2 parts hat hair => Wild Thing!
