The Chicken Soup books always have great topics…and it’s free to submit.

nrhatch - September 22, 2015

Great topics to choose from and easy submission process.

3. William D'Andrea - September 22, 2015

Right now I’m having my usual writer’s block, and I’m in the middle of a lot of things. But when I have the time, I’ll give the website a look. I might find some unexpected inspiration.

nrhatch - September 22, 2015

The descriptions of the projects are great for brainstorming.

4. L. Marie - September 22, 2015

Great!!! Thanks for posting this, Nancy!

nrhatch - September 22, 2015

I’m on the fence about a few of them. Time will tell if I motivate myself to write. Or not.

5. colonialist - September 22, 2015

Interesting! I wonder if I should try the Fizzy Willy tale on them? Only he was mostly a good cat – he didn’t go in much for bad.

nrhatch - September 22, 2015

Check the link, Col. There are fairly broad parameters for each book and they do a Cat book every year.

6. Carol Ferenc - September 22, 2015

Hard to believe but I’ve never read any of the Chicken Soup books. Thanks for sharing ~ I’m going to check this out!

nrhatch - September 22, 2015

I’ve read a few, including Chicken Soup for the Writer’s Soul. Each short non-fiction piece is quick to read. Great nighttime reading.

Hope you see one that amuses your muse.

7. Tiny - September 23, 2015

Interesting topics. Thanks for sharing, Nancy.

And the compensation is decent for “newbie” authors ~> “$200 ($100 for devotionals) one month after publication of the book and ten free copies of the book your story or poem appears in.”
