How We Plan To Spend The Holidays November 29, 2014

Posted by nrhatch in Gratitude, Happiness, Humor.

Aah . . . that’s better!

1. Val Boyko - November 29, 2014

Lookin good Nancy!! πŸ™‚

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

We shall avoid the mall, relax, and B~R~E~A~T~H~E!

2. Jill Weatherholt - November 29, 2014

Where are you going? Where are you going? Oh right, you live in Florida…lucky!

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

I feel like a fake and phony posting this pic this morning . . . it’s a BRISK 46 degrees this morning. NOT bathing suit weather.

This has been the C~H~I~L~L~I~E~S~T fall in the 5 years we’ve lived here. Brrrr . . .

3. valleygrail - November 29, 2014

The better choice! Looks lovely.

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

We spent 50 holiday seasons bouncing around like ping pong balls amid drifting snow and glacial ice, under gray skies.

Here is a better fit for me. 😎

4. Kate @ Did That Just Happen? - November 29, 2014

It’s the thought that counts! I think spending a day relaxing is a great way to go! Enjoy!

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

My attitude toward the hustle and bustle of the Holidays is pretty laid back these days. It was surprisingly simple to step off the Merry-Go-Round once I saw that it was going nowhere.

5. katecrimmins - November 29, 2014

Love your swimsuit!

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

I have never had the courage to wear a string bikini. Too much like tempting fate.

6. thecontentedcrafter - November 29, 2014

That sky is how it ought to be here – and the sand and the Santa hats – not so much me in a bikini though πŸ™‚ However the weather appears to have other plans again this year…….

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

We’ve had much cooler than normal temps this fall ~ more like January than November. But it’s at 71 now, so I won’t complain.

7. Barb - November 29, 2014

I will probably be doing the same Nancy, no wading through crowds at the shops for me, it’s time to relax and unwind.

nrhatch - November 29, 2014

We cut WAY back on gift exchanges once our nieces and nephews got to the age that CASH was KING. Now we enjoy the holidays by watching holiday movies, listening to carols, basking in the glow of the Christmas tree, smiling at Santas, etc.

Ho ~ Ho ~ Ho!

8. jannatwrites - November 29, 2014

Looks like a good Florida holiday! It’s been pretty warm here, but no beach πŸ™‚

nrhatch - November 30, 2014

Today may be warm enough to go for a beach walk after lunch. I won’t be wearing a bikini.

9. Tiny - November 29, 2014

Love the picture. Almost tried this today, but it was still a bit cool. Maybe tomorrow πŸ„ That’s the holiday spirit for us too!

nrhatch - November 30, 2014

I had fun shopping for presents for our 10 nieces and nephews when they were little. Now that we’re ALL older, giving them checks is easier . . . and frees up time for walking on the beach.

10. Pix Under the Oaks - November 30, 2014

Aah is right!

nrhatch - November 30, 2014

Breathe. Relax. Repeat. 😎

11. NancyTex - November 30, 2014

I was pretty worried I would come back to sub zero temps and mounds of snow yesterday, so I’m pretty thrilled to find no snow and temps approaching the 50s. It’s all relative! πŸ™‚

nrhatch - November 30, 2014

That is a pleasant surprise . . . unless you had your heart set on tobogganing!

NancyTex - November 30, 2014

God no! Never!

nrhatch - November 30, 2014

Cold weather sports (skiing, sledding, skating) look like fun except for the cold weather part. πŸ˜‰

12. Yolanda M. - November 30, 2014

You are a lucky lucky lady Nancy πŸ™‚ we will be looking forward to more snow this week and perhaps some snowshoeing on the weekend…

nrhatch - November 30, 2014

I have never gone snowshoeing ~ that must be some work out. My dad did lots of snowshoeing in Vermont during “sugar season.” Now they probably use snowmobiles to tap the Maples.

13. Behind the Story - December 1, 2014

It looks good to me. Bing Crosby may dream of a “White Christmas,” but I prefer sunshine.

nrhatch - December 1, 2014

Same here. All that white fluffy stuff doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy. Sun does. 😎

14. Three Well Beings - December 5, 2014

Now that’s living! I think you’re on to something! πŸ™‚

nrhatch - December 5, 2014

Many holiday “deadlines” are self-imposed. It is possible to “dial back” a bit and not put too much pressure on ourselves.

Tomorrow we’re going to Busch Gardens in Tampa for “Christmas Town” ~ we’ll ride the train through the Serengeti and enjoy strolling through the light display. We haven’t been to Busch Gardens (in Florida) before. I hope to see a Zebra.

15. Tokeloshe - December 5, 2014

Lucky you πŸ˜‰

nrhatch - December 5, 2014

It’s been gorgeous this week ~ even for swimming. It will be a bit chillier next week. Great walking and biking weather.
