The fun on Halloween did not begin and end at the Halloween Bake Sale.

2014-11-01 16-05-33_0035

After getting a kid fix at the costume contest, we went to 101 Bridge Street to enjoy a cold draft beer.

2014-10-31 16-40-52_0014

I ordered a Fat Tire to go with a Greek Pizza.

2014-10-31 16-51-39_0017

BFF ordered a Ultra Light to go with a Four Cheese Pie.

2014-10-31 16-41-13_0016

We didn’t waste any time digging in.

2014-10-31 16-51-47_0018

On Saturday, before heading to the parade, we went to Coquina Beach to hook up with the Pirates.

2014-11-01 14-38-48_0020

Standing next to me, this one looked rather dapper.

2014-11-01 14-38-59_0021

But next to BFF, he looked like a dwarf pirate ~ not the least intimidating.

2014-11-01 14-39-14_0022

Due to a cold front, the weather was too brisk for sun bathing.  That might be why we heard bones rattling as this guy sputtered, “Shiver Me Timbers!”

2014-11-01 14-46-11_0023

Aah . . . that’s better!

I noticed you were wearing short sleeves while enjoy your brew and layers with the pirates. That pizza looks fantastic!!!!!!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

The pizza was great. A cold front come through last weekend and again this weekend. With the breeze at the beach, I was happy to add a few layers.

Greek PIzza. My husband would love that. Feta, olives, and is that spinach? YUM. How tall is BFF?

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

Yes ~ feta, olives, spinach, tomatoes, and onion. Here’s a recipe for Spanakopita pizza (using a store bought crust):

BFF is 6’2″ . . . and nice through and through!

One question.
Where are your wrinkles??????

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

Haha! When I looked in the mirror this morning, all I saw were wrinkles. Probably because I wasn’t S~M~I~L~I~N~G.

When I S~M~I~L~E, they iron themselves out.

granny1947 - November 8, 2014

I just looked in the mirror.
And smiled like my Avatar.
It didn’t help!!!!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

Maybe your eyesight is keener than mine ~ sometimes it doesn’t pay to look too closely at the “what is.” 😛

Grannymar - November 8, 2014

The camera does not lie, we know you have no wrinkles!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

I like to call them “laugh lines.”

4. suzicate - November 8, 2014

Looks like a fun day! Today we will be heading out to a craft beer festival…music, beer, food, and people…yay!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

Sounds great, Suzi! Hope the sun shines on the festivities keeping it warm enough that people appreciate a Cold Beer.

5. katecrimmins - November 8, 2014

Pizza and beer, the best! Looks like you have jackets on. Getting cool?

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

It was C~O~O~L last weekend, warmed up by Tuesday, and another Cold Snap is here this weekend. It’s 70 now, but expected to stay in the 60’s tomorrow.

When we eat out, pizza is ordered often, especially if the menu doesn’t boast more interesting vegetarian fare. It’s a safe bet ~ even “bad” pizza is pretty good.

6. valleygrail - November 8, 2014

That sure looks like fun!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

We love where we live ~ lots of outdoor festivals and concerts going on year round. Now that the snowbirds are flocking south, the social life kicks into High Gear. This weekend is packed to overflowing with fun events: Art Walk, Arts & Crafts Festival, Stone Crab Festival, Symphony on the Sand, Sand Sculpting Contest, Bridgestock, Medieval Faire, etc.

We nedd to pick and choose between the offerings or we would have no time left to B~R~E~A~T~H~E. _/!\_

7. reocochran - November 8, 2014

I liked all of this and especially enjoy food, making me wish for a bigger breakfast before I made it to the library! Smiles for the pirate skeleton, too!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

Our brains are hard-wired to send signals to our stomachs ~ we see food and we want to E~A~T. Hope you make it to lunch!

8. Barb - November 8, 2014

Your words and photos told us a story, I felt like I was right there with you, tagging along but missed out on the food which looked delicious!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

I should have taken more photos of the many pirates in attendance . . . and their wenches! Aargh, Matey!

9. Grannymar - November 8, 2014

I lurve the feet in the last photo!

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

I got a kick out of that bony lad.

10. diannegray - November 8, 2014

What fun! Your BFF is very tall and your smile is absolutely gorgeous 😀

nrhatch - November 8, 2014

Thanks, Dianne! I tend to grin around pizza and beer.

11. Three Well Beings - November 10, 2014

Pizza and beer! Perfect way to celebrate the season. It looks like you are getting a little bit of fall change…I saw light jackets on the two of you! 🙂

nrhatch - November 10, 2014

The last two weeks have included a sprinkling of light jacket weather days ~ a nice change of pace EXCEPT when I want to go to Water Aerobics. I prefer NOT to wear a light jacket in the pool. 😎

12. jannatwrites - November 10, 2014

Looks like a fun day! The 4 cheese pizza made pic made me want a slice- and I just ate lunch 😳

nrhatch - November 10, 2014

Pizza is a favorite meal . . . and it’s hard to see a pizza without wanting a slice.

13. ericjbaker - November 10, 2014

A lot of your stories seem to involve pizza and beer and beaches. Three of my favorite things.

nrhatch - November 10, 2014

Pizza + Beer + Beaches ~> Easy To Love!
