Mysteries Beyond The Veil May 25, 2014

Mainspring_wind-up_keysThe spiritual well is deep.  We may never unearth all its secrets.

No matter how deep we dive.

Caught in a gossamer web, we catch a glimpse beyond the veil.

An elusive epiphany whispers, allowing us to know the unknowable.

If you held THE key, would you go beyond the surface of what we taste, touch, and see to unveil the mystery?

Or would you choose to remain in the dark, cloaked in ancient shrouds?

Forgoing certainty to embrace mystery.

Aah . . . that’s better!

key in hand, I would always step through the door!

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

I would love to see what’s behind the curtain.

Nancy, it’s amazing to me that so many of us would choose ignorant bliss over spiritual depth, even in the face of evidence…

Many researchers and whistle blowers have given us keys like this one: http://www.thrivemovement.com/the_movie

Thanks for the link, Joanne. The trailer looks interesting, but I question whether it is THE key to unlocking the mystery.

Have we “gone wrong” and veered off course?
Or is this all part of the path?

Grannymar shared an excellent quote today:

“Life is like an ever-shifting kaleidoscope – a slight change, and all patterns alter.” ~ Sharon Salzberg

Great question! I joined the Thrive Community to receive ongoing e-mails and to read posts from other thought-provoking contributors. I just spent an hour reading some of the dialogue surrounding the nature of the real “problem” or rather, “path” that humanity is on. Bottom line is that the “key” is really “hidden” within each of us.

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

Most of us are so distracted by all the stuff going on around us (all the “go, go, go” and “do, do, do”) that I am not optimistic that we’ll find THE key in time.

I think for me Nancy I choose to forgo certainty and embrace mystery. That’s the road I try and walk. Love the post. Beautifully written. Again thank you for the link. You’re too kind. 🙂

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

Thanks, Don. Blogging inspires us to look deeper at the thoughts we think. Your words offer inspiration to many.

Like you, I’m happy to embrace the mystery . . . when no KEY is available and the portals are hidden. But if I had the option to see beyond the veil to ALL the inner workings, I would walk through that door without a backwards glance.

Except, perhaps, at my chocolate stash! 😎

Don - May 25, 2014

I agree with you Nancy. The difficulty that is always before us is the authenticity of the key and the portal. There are many keys and many so called portals. Therefore the discerning of the key and the portal is of immense importance.

I’ll take the key to your chocolate stash any day. 🙂

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

Here, I’m conjecturing that it is THE key. That we are being invited to see beyond the veil to ALL the inner workings (making the corresponding assumption that there are inner workings to see).

I would walk through that door in a minute . . . as soon as I stuffed my pockets with chocolate!

I would never choose darkness over light. Great post, Nancy!

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

I agree, Jill.

At times, it seems there is no point to it all ~ if there is a point, and it’s not just a giant crap shoot (“par, par, bogey, bogey, par, par”), I’d love to know what that point is.

5. diannegray - May 25, 2014

I think there is more than one key, Nancy and if I had all those keys I wouldn’t hesitate to use them. 😉

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

If someone handed me THE master key, I would be through the door before that sneaky rat could break into your stash of Lindt Truffles!

diannegray - May 25, 2014

LOL! 😀

6. livelytwist - May 25, 2014

The spiritual well is deep. We may never unearth all its secrets.

I’ll take a few secrets, thank you. 🙂

nrhatch - May 25, 2014

Me too, Timi! I’m tired of groping around in the dark speculating about whether there is meaning in the madness.

I would LOVE to flip the switch and illuminate the dark reaches.

Sometimes, we waste time running around searching, while the answers are on our own doorstep. I prefer to to stay open eyed, open minded and curious as I go through my daily life.

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

Yes, being mindful of the moment pays dividends ~ instead of sleep walking through life, we see, touch, taste, smell, and hear what is being offered.

That said, if someone handed me THE key . . . I’d be right behind Pix.

Grannymar - May 26, 2014

We all have the key to our own peace and happiness, we only need to learn how to turn the key.

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

I agree. While we’re here, we have the key to our peace and happiness. Peace is ours for the asking.

But that’s not really what I’m talking about with this post ~ I’m wondering who would want to have ALL the answers to ALL the questions about WHY we are here. From the responses, it appears that I’m not the only one who would step through that door . . . if offered the key.

8. Pix Under the Oaks - May 26, 2014

If I had THE key, I would grab it!

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

Me too! We could explore the hidden realms together to see all that there is to see and become omniscient about the workings of the universe.

What a RUSH! 😎

9. nancytex2013 - May 26, 2014

They say curiousity killed the cat, but…it doesn’t deter my ever curious mind. 🙂

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

Same here ~ I’d love to have the Entire Scoop on our Spiritual Connection, etc.

I like the idea of being Omniscient! 😎

nancytex2013 - May 26, 2014

when you get the 411, please share! 🙂

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

I’ll do an “EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it!” post!

10. ericjbaker - May 26, 2014

I want the key. I also know my human brain could not comprehend what was unlocked.

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

I expect that’s why no one is offering us the key.

11. Val Boyko - May 26, 2014

Nancy, like you i would choose the key … even if it means having to step beyond life as we know it.
(My ego is not in agreement right now though 😉

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

I agree. I’d like the option of returning to life as I know it . . . just in case.

12. Patricia - May 26, 2014

I think I would like to use the key. But I would want to be sure I could turn around and return. That’s sort of saying no isn’t it. I am in a quandary.

nrhatch - May 26, 2014

Well, it’s hard to choose Door #1 . . . without knowing what’s on the other side. I know I would want to know, if given the option, but I’d like to live this life “after the knowing.”
