“I’m Thirsty!” May 6, 2014

Posted by nrhatch in Animals, Food & Drink, Humor.

Tigger is doing OK . . . but his hunger and thirst are still in overdrive.

His days are busy as he alternates eating, sleeping, chasing treats, peeing, pooping, drinking, going for walks, and ordering us about.

Since He-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed prefers to be hand-fed and watered, we (his humble servants and minions) must stop whatever we’re doing (including shaving) to accommodate HIM . . .

Especially when he gives the “I’m Thirsty!” command.

Aah . . . that’s better!

Ah, everyone needs a cat (or dog) to run the house! Glad Tigger is still bouncing around and living the kingly life.

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Tigger takes BFF on “walks” once or twice a day, weather permitting. They’re outside right now.

For the past week or so, Tigger has walked a bit farther and faster than he has in recent memory. And his weight has rebounded a bit. We’re cautiously optimistic ~> paws crossed.

2. Pix Under the Oaks - May 6, 2014

Funny!!! Tigger is such character. Glad he has his servants trained!

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

He has us (especially BFF) wrapped around his little paws!

3. Jill Weatherholt - May 6, 2014

Ha ha! Love the shaving cream shot!

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

When Tigger issues his “I’m Thirsty!” command, he expects immediate compliance. No ifs, ands, or buts. 😎

4. Val Boyko - May 6, 2014

I think Tigger and I are soulmates…. except he’s found his perfect home…

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

He’s been a great little buddy these past 10 years. Life would not be the same without our furry friends.

5. katecrimmins - May 6, 2014

For sure I am going to come live with you! You won’t even have to clean my litter box.

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Yes! Come on down ~ with your four and our one, we’ll have the slap-happiest-furry-feline gathering this side of the Mississippi.

6. Kate @ Did That Just Happen? - May 6, 2014

Okay, that’s greatness! And, I’m glad I’m not the only one that is wrapped around the paw of our little furry friends! 🙂 Mine’s a dog, but he still rules the roost!

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Tigger rules . . . he should be wearing a crown!

7. Grannymar - May 6, 2014

They do say, dogs have owners, but cats OWN their owners!

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Exactly right. Dogs are far more accommodating of their humans than cats. Cats want it NOW!

8. Don - May 6, 2014

And we think kids are demanding. 🙂

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Yes! The difference being that kids grow LESS dependent on us as they claim their independence . . . while pets first take an inch and then DEMAND a mile!

9. Booksphotographsandartwork - May 6, 2014

People are just no good at being in charge, it should always be an animal. And the good thing is they like to take a lot of naps!

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Tigger figures we should get ALL our stuff done while he’s napping. So as not to inconvenience him.

10. barb19 - May 6, 2014

They say “cats rule”, and it’s so true – but we wouldn’t have it any other way! Love that shot of Tigger with his most humble and obedient servant!

11. ericjbaker - May 6, 2014

I thought BBF was wearing some kind of bandage when I first saw the pic. Perhaps Tigger was getting a bit too forceful with his demands…

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

OUCH! That would be a BIG bandage.

Tigger would make a great Attack Cat . . . except that he likes meeting and greeting everyone who walks in the front door.

12. I am J - May 6, 2014

Very cute. It looks like you work for a great boss – and a cute one, too. Who doesn’t love getting paid in purrs and head-butts? I do love kitties.

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

He is a great little guy . . . even if he is a bit bossy.

13. Life Penned - May 6, 2014

When I was younger I had a cat named, “Spot and Jerome.”

Yeah. It was just one cat.

nrhatch - May 6, 2014

Haha! That’s a cumbersome name for a little cat.

Life Penned - May 6, 2014

He liked it.

nrhatch - May 7, 2014

No doubt he liked your sense of humor too.

14. Patricia - May 6, 2014

Tigger has you trained just the way he wants. Funny how cats do that.

nrhatch - May 7, 2014

Isn’t it? Teddy and Tigger could compare notes saying, “Check. Yup. Got it. Good one.”

15. Three Well Beings - May 7, 2014

That Tigger is one smart guy to get so much hand-to-mouth attention. 🙂 And isn’t it funny how we’ll do just about anything to keep them satisfied and well. What a great little guy. I hope he continues to keep his playful and demanding ways. They are a good sign, I think!

nrhatch - May 7, 2014

Yes. As long as he stays playful, with more good days than bad days, we’ll assume he’s still enjoying his stay. His appetite is always good and he’s always happy to see BFF in the morning.

16. jannatwrites - May 7, 2014

Aw, good boy – he has you guys trained well! (Kitties are really good at that…)

nrhatch - May 7, 2014

We adopted our first two cats (Jazz and Cayenne) with the assumption that cats are more independent than dogs. Ha!

17. bluebee - May 8, 2014

Was at a friend’s last night who also has a Tigger, but he be a canine. He is really getting on in years, is a little deaf, and quite arthritic (can’t lie on a hard floor for too long and has injections in his hips every now and then), but still has mad bursts of running energy when the sun’s up and let’s everyone know when he’s hungry. And is still as affectionate as ever. 😄 Glad your Tigger still has his cheek.

nrhatch - May 8, 2014

Aww . . . he sounds like a sweet pup. Of course that might be because I’m partial to the name.
