Pizza . . . Pick Up or Delivery? March 18, 2014
Posted by nrhatch in Food & Drink, Happiness, Humor.trackback
Much of life is spent waiting in lines and sterile waiting rooms.
To save waiting time, people often call ahead for pick up or delivery. Some drive through the drive-through.
Not us.
We wait until we get to Oma’s Pizza to order a pie for take out. Then we cross Gulf Drive and enjoy the view while “waiting” for our pizza to bake.

Another good reason.. I’m getting it.. 😀
Ta da! Hope CH and the momma are enjoying themselves and that you are finding lots of good things to eat. 😀
They returned home Sunday!
Aah . . . that’s better! I know you’re happy to have him home.
Love that waiting room:)
It’s a great place to wait, watch, and wonder. 😎
Now that’s life – what a way to wait for a pizza. 🙂
Moving here was the right call for us!
If only I can get my doctor to move there.
I’ve been pleased with the doctors here . . . but I understand your concerns. For me the worst part of moving is finding new doctors and dentists.
Well I was thinking that they should move to beach front offices too. That would make the wait so much better. They could use a loud speaker to get you off the beach when your turn came.
Stellar idea! Our dentist is right across the street from the beach . . . but we almost never have a “wait time” there.
Do you take the pizza out there to eat on the beach? If I were a fast food person, I could be tempted.
We do picnic on the beach ~ sandwiches and chips. When we have pizza, we usually take it home and serve it with veggies.
I used to enjoy chilling on the beach at Seaside Heights and then hitting the boardwalk for some take-out chicken wings and zeppoles. Then Jersey Shore set up shop. Then Hurricane Sandy wrecked everything. Then they had the big fire last year. Bleah.
We loved Seaside Heights when we lived in Jersey. Hurricane Sandy shifted more than the sand. I hope you find that things are all sorted out by the Summer of 2014.
Sometimes it’s just nice to slow down and enjoy the journey, isn’t it? Is that a parachutist over the ocean? Sorry, you can probably tell I’m a mountain girl.
Close. It’s a parasail ~ a parachute attached to a boat. Riders wear a harness and lift off and land from the back of the boat. They only get wet if they want their feet dipped into the waves.
That’s my sort of pizza place 🙂
Yes! Good to see you, PiP. Hope Portugal is warming up.
With a view like that, the wait isn’t bad 🙂 It’s nice when we are able to fill waits with something worthwhile (like checking out the beach!)
We love our wait time on the beach . . . and on the bridge when it’s raised for passing boats. A great time to press *PAUSE*
That’s making the most of dinner and enjoying the afternoon/evening, not rushing through. Now that particular view would make it a lot more enticing, for sure!
Yes! We pick pleasant weather moments for pizza pick up at the beach ~ would probably head the other way in a hurricane.
Yes – how lovely is that vista?!

Exactly! Ain’t No Crime!

you have lots of brilliant room for waiting there! enjoyed the wildlife photography tips, too.
but any place called Oma’s Pizza must be worth the wait…. any posts on the pizza? 😀
I’ve mentioned Oma’s before, but more in passing . . . and I don’t think I’ve shared any pics of their pies. Maybe I should. 😀
