One Stitch At A Time March 12, 2014

Posted by nrhatch in Art & Photography, Nature, People, Poetry.

Day dawns, sun sets, time passes

Man imagines

Birds soar, cats stalk, fish swim

Man creates

A tapestry woven one stitch at a time

Aah . . . that’s better!

Beautiful sunset!

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

Thanks ~ we enjoy fabulous sunsets here on the Gulf Coast.

2. Grannymar - March 12, 2014

Ha ha! We are both stitching today. I worked one stitch at a time with very different needles!

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

I enjoy seeing your stitchery. What you do with your needles is brilliant.

Beautiful pictures Nancy! AND words.. πŸ™‚ Could it be I recognize that guy leaning against the steps of the deck? I know I recognize that Pier.. πŸ™‚ It looks beautiful there, thinking about you guys today.

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

You do recognize that guy . . . he’s “my guy”! Have a day filled with beautiful stitches, Pix.

a perfect day I say!

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

Thanks, Joss. Today is looking brighter than yesterday . . . and tomorrow may be brighter still. 😎

Crowing Crone - March 12, 2014

We have been enjoying beautiful early summer weather here. What a treat.

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

I am always at my happiest when summer appears on the horizon.

5. I am J - March 12, 2014

Beautiful, Nancy. And each day, we get to keep stitching, don’t we? Yesterday we had bitter cold, snow, and wind. Today, sunshine, blue sky, and 60 degrees. A tapestry indeed.

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

What a difference a day makes! Glad the sun and warm temps made a quick rebound.

6. Eric Tonningsen - March 12, 2014

And a beautiful tapestry it is!

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

Especially when we take it one stitch at a time.

7. diannegray - March 12, 2014

I love that stitching. What a beautiful place πŸ˜€

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

We’re partial to it, Dianne.

8. Don - March 12, 2014

Great shots Nancy. Love the sunset.

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

We have some fabulous sunsets here. You’ll have to ask an “early bird” about the sun rises. πŸ˜›

Nice shots and words.
I don’t know why, but somehow they had me doing the ‘What Does the Fox Say’ song. I am probably flipping my lid …

nrhatch - March 12, 2014

I had to google it . . . I’ve never heard it before, but I see why it might have popped into your lid (before it flipped).

Behind the Story - March 13, 2014

I love this video, but the original.

nrhatch - March 13, 2014

Thanks, Nicki. I grabbed the first one I saw so I could get the gist of the song ~ the original is much better.

10. Maggie - March 12, 2014

Most lives end as becoming tapestries. πŸ˜€

13. jannatwrites - March 14, 2014

Lovely pics! I especially like the second one πŸ™‚

nrhatch - March 14, 2014

I rarely play around with photos . . . but some times the results are quite intriguing.

14. kateshrewsday - March 16, 2014

Time to slow down and watch it all, Nancy…

nrhatch - March 16, 2014
