Tigger’s End of the Year Wrap Up December 31, 2013
Posted by nrhatch in Happiness, Humor.trackback
Here’s Tigger with an End of the Year Wrap Up:
* Like an almost empty roll of toilet tissue, 2013 is winding down ~ soon to be nothing more than a whisper in the wind.
* Endings intertwine with beginnings, giving us cause to cross our paws and reflect on What’s What.
* Here’s to unleashing our jolly happy sassy selves to ring out the old and ring in the new.
With a Moo Moo here (wearing a lei, no less):
And a Moo Moo there:
Here a Moo:
There a Moo:
Everywhere a Moo Moo:
Happy Moo Year!
Just remember:
If your year-end becomes a “3 sheets to the wind” wind down . . . someone has to clean up after the seasick cow.
And it’s not going to be ME-OW!
Aah . . . that’s better!
Will you stay awake to greet the New Year? Or crash before midnight and meet it on the morrow?

I’m betting tonight will be like most of my NYEs. I’ll have every intention of staying awake… until 9 o’clock rolls around 🙂 Happy Almost 2014!
We manage to stay up better with the promise of fireworks on the beach at midnight. But this year . . . NO FIREWORKS! So we might end up in bed before the witching hour.
Either way, we will eat chocolate . . . for Good Luck in 2014!
Sets the moo-d very well!
I approve of no fireworks – they send our menagerie into fits.
Yes, fireworks (and thunder storms with BIG boomers) can fray the last nerve of our furry friends.
Tonight, they get a break . . . on AMI anyway.
And THANKS, Col! YOU get the Silver Ribbon for being my #2 commentator for the year . . . with an award winning 321 comments! Woo Hoo!
According the the 2013 Annual Report sent by the Stats-Helper Monkeys this morning, the Top Five (vocal) visitors are:
1. 398 ~ Pix
2. 321 ~ Colonialist
3. 310 ~ Janna
4. 303 ~ Eric Baker
5. 298 ~ Grannymar
**BOOM** **BOOM**
Happy New Year!
And on MY blog, you romp home with the Gold, only having needed 294 comments to do it! Thank you kindly!
Cool! It’s always a pleasure to read your AWFUL poems and enter your Caption Contests. And see your darling grandkids and the area’s wild life and go on “road trips” with you.
I rarely go to bed before midnight, so tonight won’t be any different. This year, I am alone and have the house to myself, and I don’t mind a bit. I’ve got season two of Sherlock to watch.
Happy New Year to you, BFF, Tigger, and the cows.
Hey . . . WHY are you home alone??? Where’s the rest of the household??? Did you make them go away so you wouldn’t have to share your cupcakes?
Sherlock is one of the best series ever! I’m ready for Season 3.
Thanks for being a Vocal Visitor in 2013 ~ the Stats Helper Monkeys say you’re in 4th place in a CLOSE RACE! I love it when people Speak Up.
Happy New Year!
Family is out of state visiting family, but I have to work this week. No worries for me. Unlimited access to cupcakes and uninterrupted viewing of BBC shows (I also plan to bang out some Doctor Who episodes) is a fine way to spent December 31!
Sounds like you are making the BEST of the situation! Enjoy your BBC Marathon.
Sweet Tigger! We will be sound asleep long before midnight. Me for sure, CH might make it. Happy New Year’s Eve! On second thought, I could be awake, the neighbors are planning fireworks!
Happy ALMOST New Year, Pix! Without the promise of fireworks, I’m not sure we’ll manage to stay awake to watch the ball drop. If we eat enough Chocolate . . . MAYBE.
Thank you for being my #1 Vocal Visitor this year!!!
You grabbed 1st place for TWO YEARS RUNNING!
You rock.
Well dang! I love to visit you.. 🙂 You were my #2 Vocal Visitor! Thank YOU!!!
I love visiting your blog too ~ with all your lovely shots of the Tiny Ten and the surrounding countryside.
Oh I just saw your comment about eating chocolate for good luck. We choke down a bit of creamed herring for luck, a tradition in my family. I think this year we will quickly follow the herring with CHOCOLATE.. 😀
Creamed Herring + Chocolate = LUCK x 2
vs.
Chocolate + Chocolate + Chocolate = LUCK x 3!!!
Hmm . . . what to do???
In bed by 10 for us. We have an open house tomorrow so we have to save our energy!
We often threw open the doors on New Year’s Day for visitors ~ I understand about saving your energy.
Enjoy your Open House tomorrow. Wish I could stop by for a natter!
Tigger looks ready for 2014 🙂 I don’t know if I’ll stay up for the new year or not. If I do, it’s because I’m doing other things, not because I’m waiting for midnight. Hope you have a happy new year, even if there isn’t fireworks!
I don’t know how you do all you do, Janna . . . it must be that you stay up doing things past midnight.
On that note, THANKS for being one of my most Vocal Visitors for 2013 with 310 comments. Go you! Happy New Year! 😀
Happy Moo Year, Nancy!
Thanks for all of the chuckles, great stories, informational posts and awesome photos – it’s been a year of change and challenge.
I’m on board for the next one – glad to be welcoming 2014 with the ones I love.:)
Thanks, Vivian ~ I agree! Lots of great stories, posts, and photos providing endless chuckles in the blogosphere this year.
Have FUN ringing in the New Year on the East Coast ~ 2 hours ahead of your friends and fans in Colorado. 😀
Cowabunga!
Best wishes for the New year to you, your family and Tigger.
Cowabunga, indeed! All the best in 2014, Tok!
Typically a night owl, it’ll be lights out in the High Desert by 10pm. A good night’s sleep trumps most alternatives. 🙂 HNY and best wishes for loads of joy and good health in 2014.
I agree with you on sleep ~ one of life’s little luxuries. We’ll only stay up if we don’t get too sleepy. Hope 2014 arrives full of Merry and Bright for you.
Less than four hours to go here, and I may well be tucked in and on the way to dreamland. Unkissed!!!! 😆 Have a wonderful 2014, Nancy, may it be a year of fun filled treasures.
Sounds like a plan. Loved your list today. And thanks for being one of my Top 5 Vocal Visitors ~ you’re in good company!
Happy New Year Nancy! It is a pleasure to know you.
Thanks, Tammy . . . right back at you! Maybe 2014 will give us an opportunity to “meet up” here or there. Happy New Year!
Happy almost 2014! We are night owls so we will be awake to ring in the New Year. 🙂
Yay! I hope you and your guy have a great time tonight, ringing in the New Year. We have some sweet treats planned ~ eating chocolate on 12/31 promises Good Luck in 2014. And it tastes good! 😀
Happy New Year, Nancy. My family just left–all 8 or them–after being here for 9 days, so I’ve been washing towels and sheets, changing beds, and trying to figure out what to do with the frozen chicken nuggets my grandson likes. Now on the West Coast I have only a few hours to make some resolutions. (I do like to do that.) Not sure if I’ll stay up until midnight, but I’m looking forward to the new year.
Happy blogging. I enjoy your free-spirited, humorous, clever posts.
Thanks, Nicki. You sound like us ~ as soon as guests are out the door, we start collecting sheets and towels. I look forward to reading more of your posts this year. You have led an interesting life here, there, and everywhere.
Happy 2014, Nancy.
To you and MTM too! Hope you warm up after all your time in the cold frozen tundra. 😉
Happy 2014, Nancy – after a day’s hiking in the Victorian Alps, we didn’t quite make midnight, but celebrated nevertheless.
As I drifted into the Land of Nod, BFF leaned over to whisper, “Happy New Year!” Perfect way to segue from one year to the next ~ no jostling, no pushing, just cozy comfort.
Happy New Year to you too Nancy! Have a wonderful year ahead 🙂
And to you, Shree! Here’s to changing anything that isn’t working for us.
I hope Tigger had a very happy new year’s eve, and will have an even better 2014! Happy Moo Year to you, too, Nancy! 🙂
Thanks, Debra. Most of the time the little guy is content . . . well, as content as a cat ever is. And when he’s not, he lets us know.
MEOW!!!
Here’s to all good things in 2014.
aw, sweet Tigger. a wonderful wrap indeed.
new year’s day brought by unexpected visitors in the afternoon – family and friends. an entirely informal affair, just the way i like it. happy new year!
That’s a perfect way to start the New Year ~ I like “pop ins” best too. Relaxed, Casual, and Happy!
Tigger is looking good! And my, that was a lot of cows there…
He’s doing well at the moment. Paws crossed that the trend continues. I followed a blog for awhile that posted photos of cows and cow art every day. From milk cartons to dairy ads.
Haha, yes! I don’t update it anymore because I’m super busy as it is but I still see cows every day.
And now you’ve seen some on SLTW! Moo.
