The Storm’s Edge August 9, 2013

In the mood for a stroll along the Gulf of Mexico, I headed to the beach. To the west, the cloudless sky beckoned.
As I stepped out of the car, I noticed a storm cloud peering, with intent, over my shoulder.
Camera in hand, I headed to the sand and snapped shots in all directions.
I twirled around again and noticed the storm gaining ground as it pushed out into the Gulf.
Turning around, I saw this looming glowering cloud, and decided to head home.
On the way, I spied a rainbow as I crossed over the bridge from Anna Maria Island to Perico Island.
I stopped to shoot the rainbow over skeletal trees in the Neal Preserve.
When I looked straight up, an eye of blue sky looked down.
Over my shoulder, to the west, I saw the storm’s edge.
Pressing down, ready to let loose the deluge.
I followed the rainbow towards home.
Before heading into dinner, I took one last shot of the rainbow.
Aah . . . that’s better!
