You know those sweat pants and shorts with the cutesy sayings sprawled, scrawled, and scribbled across the wearer’s derrierre?
Expressions like . . .
Oops . . . sorry. Wrong sign.

Oops . . . ditto. My bad.

Never mind. I’m sure you know the type of butt ads I’m yakking about.
Well, I’ve noticed a need for just such a thing on my morning walks ~ a sticker to tell people walking in proximity to my “bumper” that:
I brake for dogs.
When I walk past human beings, I smile, wave, and keep marching. But as each canine being approaches, I stop, stoop, and scratch their heads.
Probably because I know they’ll be mindful of the attention.
That and the whole social acceptability thing. Scratching a dog’s head while strolling around town is fine. Scratching a perfect stranger’s head is weird.
Same goes for imperfect strangers.
What? Oh, come on. Don’t tell me you didn’t see this coming after the prelude I posted yesterday.
Aah . . . that’s better!
