Yesterday, we went to the Bradenton Riverwalk for Pickin’ Picnic ~ a free music event with bands pickin’ and strumming from 11 am until 10 pm.
Our favorite band, Good Graeff, is twin sisters with lots of musical talent.
Here, have a listen:
They are definitely enjoying the journey on the way to who knows where:
They even sound great in black and white:
Aah . . . that’s better!

good music – thank you for posting this.
They have an interesting and slightly airy sound. Glad you enjoyed. 😎
Oh yeah, I could listen to them under that Florida sky sitting in the shade! Yep, I could.
It was gorgeous late afternoon when they played. After they finished their set, we walked along the riverfront and didn’t even have to look for shady spots to scoop up some cool. 😎
Ah!
The Riverwalk is a fantastic venue for events like this . . . a Splash Zone and playground for kids, stages, piers, and even doggie water fountains!
I had not heard of them…they are good. Thanks for sharing. Always a good time to get out in the fresh air and listen to live music.
Especially when the weather is conducive to being outside, like yesterday ~ a perfect day for a Pickin’ Picnic by the river.
I don’t know whether Good Graeff is national, regional, or local at this point. I expect their fan base to grow now that they are getting “serious” about making music.
You do such interesting things! I am moving down there!
C’mon down! Because this is a year-round tourist destination, there is ALWAYS something interesting on the horizon. It’s a FUN place to live.
I love a day like you describe! I am very impressed with Good Graeff! I am going to keep an “ear” out for them. You do find the most interesting people, places and things, Nancy! 🙂
I did check their Facebook page . . . looks like most of their gigs are in Florida ~ from Tampa to Orlando to Sarasota. So they might not make it to the West Coast of CA anytime soon.
I’m more tapped into the local happenings than anyplace we’ve lived before. Probably because I have more time to hobnob.
Heading out to find some live music today!
Yay! Have FUN. Maybe you’ll find a patriotic picnic and bandstand.
Good videos. Great to see girl bands. Looks like a great way to spend a afternoon.
Glad you enjoyed. Their songs have been running through my head all day . . . which is just what they’re after. I especially love the Cello.
Wow! I love this band! Thank you for sharing and for making me discover this new music that will definitely be on my playlist this summer.
Cool! Thought some people might enjoy a listen. They got it going on and were a big hit yesterday . . . with listeners dancing “in the aisles.”
Fantastic, Nancy – these girls sounds great! 😀
We’re going to be on the lookout for them. We’d love to see them perform again. They have a FB page. Most of their dates are in FL. So far. But they may be going places.
thanks for the share. they are great!
The cello adds an interesting note into the mix. Glad you enjoyed, Kris.
Yours is turning out to be an absorbing Spring, Nancy! This sounds a lovely event!
Your comment surprised me . . . I forgot it’s still Spring. It feels like we’re in the throes of Summer.
On that note, I’m off to buy a bathing suit.
