The weekly photo challenge is FORWARD . . .
Facing forward . . .
Facing forward . . .
Facing forward . . .
Keep moving forward . . .
Aah . . . that’s better!
The turtle looks like he’s asking us what we think we’re staring at!
That turtle was decidedly uncooperative . . . offering up numerous “bad shots” before he finally capitulated and looked up at me. π
Nancy, is that Turtle for real – with pink eyes and all. never seen one that colour.
He is real, albeit unusual ~ he lives at the Mote Marine Aquarium. π―

Love your interpretation(s)! I envy you your beach too…..
Thanks! We love our beaches. Might head to a drum circle tonight at sunset. π
It’s a little chilly here to think about something like that. Now I’m REALLY envious. π
It took a L~O~N~G time for us to find our way here . . . and now that we’re here I almost never take it for granted. I find myself grinning like an idiot at the weather.
Ah yes. The weekly photo challenge. I feel like Rip Van Winkle waking back up to the world. Now where did I leave my camera?
That’s how I felt after my blogging hiatus last summer . . . it seemed “surreal” to be back.
Dip your toes in gradually and leave plenty of time for other pursuits and pleasures.
Lovely positive photographs. Facing forward it is, Nancy π
One insight I had as I “wrote” (and I use that word VERY loosely) this post . . . we are always facing forward, no matter which direction we’re facing.
Unless, of course, we’re intent on looking over our shoulder. π
love the turtle π
I enjoy watching turtles . . . especially sea turtles while swimming.
Great pics – I love that turtle! π
I had the hardest time getting him to “pose” for me.
You are being rather forward all of a sudden! The turkley-wurkley looks nicely wacky!
I hope you’re talking about the turtle . . . and not my toes! π
What a peculiar turtle.
I think it’s albino . . . which is why he never got released back into the wild.
good advice…keep moving forward. The further behind I get, the more necessary that sounds.
And Nancy…turtle???… am I looking right at it and not seeing it? I don’t see a turtle.
omg…wooooooo…..the turtle just appeared! It was a narrow band/stripe of color every time I looked for it before…spooky turtle!
That is spooky! π―
I have found that photos are more cooperative in WP when I’m not using Internet Explorer. They seem to like Google Chrome and Firefox better.
Ah the beach again, i love to visit when you are on the beach! have a lovely weekend out there, don’t worry about me i have a gorgeous book to read by the fire.. c
Yay! I am glad that you have some time to kick back and relax by the fire. Enjoy the book! π
I like your interpretation of the theme Nancy, and may I say how nice it is to see the photo of you π
I see that the bench behind you is empty and calling me. I’m on my way …
Absolutely! That bench is calling your name. π
Yes, Nancy…sometimes it is difficult to move forward and we need to dig deep for courage or energy or motivation. I love your beach scenes…I can smell the salt in the air.:)
Yes. Sometimes we want to retrace our steps, sometimes we run around in circles chasing our tails (or tales), and sometimes we come to what feels like a complete standstill or screeching halt.
We went down to the beach last night for the weekly drum circle at sunset. The kids were so much fun to watch as they enjoyed being part of the celebration.
Reading your posts keeps everything fresh, Nancy…thank you!
Thanks, Vivian! π
Those forward feet are tan! Gotta love the turtle.. π What the hell am I doing up North with 6 inches of snow and sleet on the ground. Remember the days of digging out of the garage? CH did that today!
I do remember AND I used to ask myself the same thing, “Why am I HERE when I want to be THERE”?
Moving here was the right decision for us . . . we are happier. π
Hahaha, Nancy… turtle? I thought it was a teenager! π
I wonder if the turtle is “invisible” to you. Kathy (comment #11) couldn’t see it either.
It does look like the surfing dude turtle in Nemo!
Great photos. I think I am a forward looking person, it is afterall where the adventures are!
That’s good since it’s very difficult to “backtrack” in life ~ no matter how hard we try to recreate an experience, it’s never quite the same. No matter how tight we hang on, change happens.
Best to “go with the flow.”
Onward and upward then!
Hmm . . . now where did I leave my jet pack? π
Face forwards indeed, Nancy!
I love that turtle! π
That turtle is developing a real fan base. π
Forwards, onwards, upwards. Enjoyed your photos – the turtle is comical π
Thanks, BB. That turtle has something on his mind . . . π
Well done!
Beautiful photos as always.
That turtle is amazing.
Thanks, Tok. He has quite a number of new fans. π
What a relaxing post (beaches and flip flops scream ‘take a load off’). That turtle picture is great!
I find these shots relaxing too . . . despite the title of the post. Choo choo!
any day on the beach is a look forward into the glorious horizon day
Well put. π
love the turtle – and your weather!
Hi Kris! Our weather has been a bit nippy this week . . . it’s rebounding today. Yay! π
