Sea Notes Jazz Band February 12, 2013

Posted by nrhatch in Exercise & Fitness, Music & Dance.

Wednesday afternoons, the Sea Notes Jazz Band brightens the beach scene with music from the 20s, 30s, 40s, and Dixieland.

As Sea Notes fill the air, beach goers kick back and soak up a few last rays.

Others kick up soccer balls with sandy heels while practicing plays.

Aah . . . that’s better!

Beach Cafe is a great place to “end” the day on a high note. πŸ˜€

Thanks, Pix! The next contest will NOT be as p~r~o~t~r~a~c~t~e~d. It’s taken far too long to reach the FINISH LINE. πŸ™„

Could use me some of that sunshine !

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

We have another day filled with SUNSHINE today. Definitely a mood booster. 😎

3. cecilia - February 12, 2013

wow, you are living in paradise.. oh I do miss the beach.. c

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

If I stray too far from the sea . . . it calls to me. It’s wonderful to be back at its side. πŸ˜€

4. Alice - February 12, 2013

How lovely to be outside for such music. The beach is beautiful–paradise as others have said.

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

We have lots of outdoor concerts here . . . which is great. So much better than being stuck sitting in a stuffy music hall. Instead, we’re free to dance about. πŸ˜€

You mean they only play C notes? With everything just a series of octaves it must be rather boring! πŸ™‚

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

Or perhaps they only play FOR C-notes ($100 bills). πŸ˜‰

I am jealous of the sunshine and the music. I have been playing music all day to try and stay warm. It has been 35.6Β°F all day and I never managed to get the heat into my bones.

Not long now to the finish line, but it looks like you have a clear winner already. It was fun.

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

Thanks, Grannymar. The #1 thing I’ve learned . . . tighten up the time frames. At most one week for submissions and one for the vote ~ once I’d posted a more extended time frame, I felt obligated to stick with it.

As for the temps, your weather sounds like where we lived the first 1/2 century of our lives. I’m glad that we decided to follow Jimmy Buffet’s advice and “go where it’s warm” for our “second 1/2 century.” πŸ˜€

Looks amazing, I could use that right about now………snow here in New York, 12″ where I am………….I’m feeling the fun and sun!

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

I hear that New York has more snow on the way . . . Wednesday and Friday. Brrr . . . stay warm!

Make a batch of Margaritas. Listen to Steel Drums. Ya mon. 😎

8. dianemilone - February 12, 2013

I’m new to this, I think I’m excited because I feel I can put down in words what ‘s happening in my world and not worry about being judged. So here I start, let’s see where it takes me.

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

Welcome! Be the best YOU you can be. πŸ˜€

9. diannegray - February 12, 2013

Beautiful pics of the beach! I’ll join the queue and say ‘What a paradise!’ πŸ˜€

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for Pinocchio and his gherkin nose!

diannegray - February 12, 2013

LOL! If you see him – ask him what he’s selling! πŸ˜€

nrhatch - February 12, 2013

Shall do! Thanks for sharing such a FUN piece.

10. Barb - February 13, 2013

I needed these beach pictures. Warm thoughts on a cold day.

nrhatch - February 13, 2013

Glad they warmed you up inside, Barb.

11. sufilight - February 13, 2013
