Dozens of dozens! Great compilation!
The 12-12-12 Sandy concert was terrific! I hope it takes fewer than a dozen days for my back to settle down after rocking/dancing around the family room to the music of Springsteen, Rolling Stones etc! 😀

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

Sounds like FUN! We actually missed the concert last night . . . maybe I’ll catch the Rocking and Rolling on the Rebound.

2. klrs09 - December 13, 2012

Wow! Can’t wait to see video of the concert — my man, Bruce was playing, but the lineup sounded amazing!

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

Wish we had tuned in last night during the broadcast. Silly us. 🙂

3. ericjbaker - December 13, 2012

There were 12 original colonies after it was determined that Delaware and Rhode Island were too small to be stand-alone states and had to be combined.

I have 12 teeth, and I’ve never brushed any of them.

2 and 2/5th pentragrams have a total of 12 points.

1 x 12 = 12

Top those facts!

😉

The 12-12-12 concert sold out in 12 minutes and 12 seconds.

12 scalpers bought 12 dozen tickets each

They sold the tickets for 12 times face value in just under 12 days.

ericjbaker - December 13, 2012

I have played on the internet 12 times today, when I should have been working.

It’s 3 pm, but i still have 12 hours of work to get done before the end of the day.

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

Don’t forget to brush your teeth before bed. 😉

4. Andra Watkins - December 13, 2012

Nancy, you are a better person than me. We went out for drinks to celebrate 12.12.12. 🙂 I learned a lot more from reading this post.

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

I noticed 12-12-12 came and went without much fanfare around here. I felt sorry for “it.” Celebrating the day with drinks sounds great.

5. sufilight - December 13, 2012

There is always something new to learn, and your list did this for me! 😀

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

Twelve is a well used number . . . all around the globe. 😉

6. ApplePieAndNapalm - December 13, 2012

The concert was so good! I loved this post, too, and I love the #12. I’m slightly freaky about numbers, but I like this one!

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

I’m a bit bummed that we didn’t tune in to the concert last night . . . sounds like a good one.

7. segmation - December 13, 2012

Interesting use of the color wheel! Awesome!

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

Thanks, Beth.

8. viviankirkfield - December 13, 2012

Thanks for all of the twelve facts, Nancy!
Here’s another…Julie Hedlund’s 12×12 in 2012 Picture Writing Challenge celebrated the end of the year anniversary on 12/12/12.:)

nrhatch - December 13, 2012

Wonderful wrap up for the 12×12 challenge. Thanks for sharing that, vivian.

10. seeker - December 14, 2012

12 is a very interesting number. Very informative info. May I put my 2 cents. There are 12 apostles of Jesus Christ. I happen to like 12. Thanks

nrhatch - December 14, 2012

Thanks for the add, seeker. An even dozen is fine. But I’m a BIG fan of a Baker’s Dozen . . . 13! 😀

seeker - December 14, 2012

You are welcome Nancy. As for lucky 13, there are 13 of us in our familly. Cheaper by the dozen!

nrhatch - December 14, 2012

Cool! Cheaper by the Dozen is a FUN book about efficiency.

11. dearrosie - December 14, 2012

I’ve never thought 12 was a number I should pay attention to. Thank you for all the 12 facts.

nrhatch - December 15, 2012

Twelve’s older sister, 13, gets so much more attention. 😉

12. sweetdaysundertheoaks - December 15, 2012

The twelve facts were fun to read and comments too! We didn’t watch the concert. Speaking of movies up there, The Strange Life of Timothy Green came yesterday so I think we will be watching it tonight!

nrhatch - December 15, 2012

Enjoy it, Pix! If we were ALL a bit more like Timothy, we would NEVER have to read about another shooting at a mall, school, or ball park.

13. William D'Andrea - December 15, 2012

Last year, Veterans Day occured on 11/11/11. What luckier date is there than that?

14. kateshrewsday - December 15, 2012

At least we’ll never get 13-13-13…..

nrhatch - December 15, 2012

Not unless we change all the clocks and calendars. 😀

15. writerwannabe763 - December 23, 2012

Many people got married on 12-12-12 as they considered it a lucky day to be married…..well they will need more than luck to remain committed won’t they lol Diane

nrhatch - December 23, 2012

I agree . . . it’s the people who make the union, not the day they chose to be hitched. 😉

Thanks for stopping by.
