I wish I were certain
that “this” is all that there is
Or that it isn’t
I wish I were certain
That good will prevail over evil
Or that it won’t
I wish I were certain
That we’re on the right path
Or that we’re not
I wish I were certain
That all will be well in the end
Or that we’re doomed
All this stumbling about
For clues in the dark
Is getting old
The suspense is killing me
Aah . . . that’s better!

Trail of Haunted Legends October 29, 2012

On Saturday night, we went to De Soto National Memorial for the Trail of Haunted Legends.
An almost full moon illuminated the path. The wind howled. Branches creaked. Hobgoblins, swamp apes, and zombies shrieked.
A ghostly galleon sat off shore, cargo guarded by a Spanish Conquistador.
Gold doubloons exchanged hands. Ghastly ghoulish things went *BUMP* in the night. Children of all ages cried out in fright.
B~O~O!
Aah . . . that’s better!
