Wikipedia ~ Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (in Public Domain)
Have you ever been pulled in two (or more) directions at once due to competing demands for your time and attention?
No?
Me neither.
Have you ever tried to be all things to all people all of the time?
How’d that work out for ya?
Exhausting, right?
Have you seriously considered cloning yourself so you could be in two places at one time?
Are you becoming a split personality?
A Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, if you will?
When we look to others to guide our actions, our priorities often get lost in the shuffle.
We are torn asunder by competing and conflicting input and demands.
Sometimes, when we are lost in the trees, it helps to step back and ponder the forest as a whole.
That often provides the clarity we need to see our “next best step.”
When we look within for guidance, our steps are sure as we allow the path to unfold before us. The way teaches us the way . . . when we stop swimming against the current.
A few quotes to ponder:
* Always remember that you don’t have to be what they want you to be. ~ Mohammad Ali
* To thine own self be true. ~ Polonius (in Shakespeare’s Hamlet)
Nature does not ask, “what do they want me to be?” Its glory lies in its authenticity.
To be nobody but yourself ~ in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else ~ means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. ~ e.e.cummings
Know thyself. ~ Oracle of Apollo at Delphi, Greece
When we understand who we really are, we free ourselves from the illusions that hold us back.
Turn the spotlight inward. ~ Gandhi
Don’t worry about what the world wants from you. Focus on what makes you feel more fully alive. What the world really needs are people who are fully alive. ~ Joseph Campbell
Trust yourself and you will know how to live. ~ Goethe
People are unhappy because they aren’t being truthful with themselves. Being truthful with yourself plugs you into your inner power. ~ Suze Orman
When you stop hiding who you are, you have more energy to become more fully who you want to be.
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Aah . . . that’s better!

Want to know more about Sustainable Farming . . . watch this!
Sustainable Farming is better for us, for the planet, and for farmers.
To learn more, visit Food Mythbusters:
The biggest players in the food industry—from pesticide pushers to fertilizer makers to food processors and manufacturers—spend billions of dollars every year not selling food, but selling the idea that we need their products to feed the world. But, do we really need industrial agriculture to feed the world? Can sustainably grown food deliver the quantity and quality we need—today and in the future? Our first Food MythBusters film takes on these questions in under seven minutes. So next time you hear them, you can too.
Aah . . . that’s better!
