Last week, we lunched at The Waterfront Restaurant on Anna Maria Island with two friends from the neighborhood.
What a treat!
From a table overlooking the intercostal waterway and Anna Maria Pier, BFF opted for seafood . . . jumbo lump crabcakes with Creole mustard sauce and fries:
I debated between several entrées and appetizers before settling on a bowl of the Soup du Jour (Beer Cheese Soup) and a small Caesar Salad:
The pair paired well together ~ crisp, cool salad, crunchy croutons, and velvety rich soup . . . reminiscent of a robust Welsh Rarebit.
Our companions ordered Pork Sliders and Slaw (one of the daily specials), and a delectable, delightful, decadent, delicious dish ~ Truffled Gouda Mac & Cheese. J offered me a taste. One word . . . yummy!
Next time, I’m going to say C~H~E~E~S~E!
Aah . . . that’s better!
