“Hey, BFF, if money were no object, what’s on your wish list?”
“There’s only one thing I want at the moment.”
“Oh, what’s that?”
“This . . . ”
“Well, we can certainly afford a new comb. Buy one.”
“Easier said than done. I’ve looked high and low, here and there, hither and yon . . . without finding a suitable replacement.”
“Maybe it’s time to resort to . . . The Secret.”
The Secret is a best-selling 2006 self-help book written by Rhonda Byrne, based on the earlier film of the same name. It is based on the law of attraction and claims that positive thinking can create life-changing results such as increased wealth, health, and happiness.
The book has sold over 21 million copies and been translated into 44 languages, but has nevertheless attracted a great deal of controversy, as well as being parodied in several TV programs.
Can positive thinking manifest a new comb for BFF? We shall see.
Stay tuned.
Aah . . . that’s better!
