Heads . . . or Tails? April 8, 2012

When you’re eating a chocolate bunny, which goes first? Heads . . . or tails?
* * * * *
Just in time for Easter, a few resurrected jokes and chocolate quotes:
A guy wandering the beach found a bottle washed up on the sand. A genie popped out and gave him three wishes:
(1) “I want a million dollars.” Poof! A million dollars.
(2) “And a Jaguar convertible.” Poof! A Jaguar convertible.
(3) “Last wish. Hmm . . . I know! Make me irresistible to women.” Poof! The genie turned him into a box of chocolates.
Remember . . . dark chocolate is a Good Mood Food: “Chocolate possesses phenylethylamine, an amphetamine-like compound that acts as a natural mood enhancer, and theobromine, which is a mild stimulant. To reap the benefits of dark chocolate, it should be eaten regularly in small amounts.” [Top 100 Healing Foods, p. 117]
Put Eat Chocolate on your To Do list . . . and you’ll get at least One Thing done.

Mex gave me a big slab of chocolate for Easter.
Said it was cheaper than a bunny!
Am going to have a piece right now.
Does it matter if it is a Topdeck????
I prefer faceless chocolate too! We’re having chocolate for breakfast . . . for medicinal purposes, of course. 😉
Haha, like the bunnies cartoon, have to share with my s/o. 🙂 And, dark chocolate is a delicious way to help one’s well being. Thanks for this reminder!
Glad you enjoyed, Marie. BFF and I love this cartoon. Enjoy a nice healthy chunk of dark chocolate soon. 😀
Heads first!
Enjoy your slab of chocolate without any guilt!
We bought dark chocolate nuggets with almonds in festive foil wrapping. Perfect for a healthy indulgence.
Funny bunnies 🙂
I don’t need to put ‘eat chocolate’ on my todo list! It’s in my DNA 😉
Same here, BB! Some things need not be written down.
Hmmm….the conversation between the bunnies is almost like that of a married couple 🙂
I eat the ears first.
BFF and I have had this conversation before . . . whenever we get “Numb Butt” from being stuck in the car for long distances. 😆
“Put eat Chocolate on your To Do list . . . and you’ll get at least One Thing done”
Done! 🙂
Happy Easter everyone!
Thanks, PiP! Happy Easter.
DO NOT MENTION CHOCOLATE!!!
John and I gave up smoking – our last was last Sunday, so this is day seven, being Sunday. I’m avoiding all talk of chocolate!
Carole – you too! Stop it!!
Best of luck to you and John. Giving up smoking together should help ~ much better than watching the other light up. Quitting will set a good example for the kids and save money.
Good on ya!
Excellent jokes – have already seen the bunny one, but not heard the other. And I will add ‘eat chocolate’ to my to-do’s and feel virtuous every time I tick that box. Happy Easter! 🙂
Have a wonderful time . . . getting things done! 😀
Naturally I love the cartoon. Must think up some choc bunny sketches for next year.
Last year, I linked up to two of your Easter posts, Carl. While reposting this, I clicked the links, but they weren’t there.
{{poof}}
chocolate is good for anything that ails you, I always say.
Breakfast of champions! 😀
Good Morning Nancy! Ears first! No chocolate bunnies this year. I bought a Lindt Dark Chocolate bar with Sea Salt~divine. Happy Easter from us to you two!
Ooh . . . that sounds divine, Pix! We got dark chocolate too ~ nuggets, not bunnies. 😀
Food for thought: Is it only women who adore chocolate?
Head off first I say – then he can’t feel the rest… hahaha!
I suspect that “all” women and “most” men love chocolate ~ straight up, and in cakes, cookies, brownies, and tortes.
Vive la chocolat!
HAPPY EASTER
Hope your day is full of sweet treats.
Looking forward to scratching that one off my list. Love that cartoon.
It’s still heading my “to do” list for today . . . a bright spot on the horizon. 😀
I’m a diabetic, but I still eat chocolate. For medicinal purposes of course 😛
Of course! 😀
I love chocolate but have an impossible time eating any portion of a chocolate bunny…….
I’m the same, Andra. I prefer my chocolate un-personified and un-animated.
That was the easiest check mark I’ve made on my “to do” list in weeks…yummmmmm!
It’s a good practice to get into . . . putting one thing on the “to do” list that is YUMMY!
I always flip a coin. Heads it’s tails. Tails it’s heads. Or is that the other way around?
Perfect plan . . . leave it to chance! Either way, the odds are in your favor. 😀
Absolutely heads. The real question is what do you do with the original Peeps?
It’s been more than a few Easters since a Peep peeped up at me . . . but BFF’s cousin adored them. Head first, I think. 😉
i usually start with the ears. how cruel is that, though? hmmm…. very sad the whole thing now that i think about it – but what to do. it’s yummy!
hoppy easter 🙂
Thanks, Kris. I hate to decapitate the bunny . . . but if it’s the only way to get at the chocolate I’m willing to look the other way.
“Off with his head!” 😉
Sticking to your guns…nothing with a face. 😀 You’ve picked up on the Dutch tradition – chocolate for brekkies.
I’ve recently learned the French do the same.
Maybe I would be more interested in eating breakfast if it included chocolate. Something to explore, perhaps. 😉
Mmmm chocolate…
One of the best inventions ever!
As silly as this little cartoon is, it is so funny! Some cartoonists are just so clever! I need to be on a chocolate-free diet for a few days….true confessions! 🙂 Debra
Cartoonists are incredibly clever ~ they speak volumes in so few words.
I did not O.D. on chocolate yesterday . . . but today is still young. 😉
HA!
Both those bunnies both look like they’re in much better shape than they’d be if they were within my reach! I don’t know if I even choose an ‘end’… I pretty much just inhale them!
I hope you and BFF had a wonderful Easter, Nancy!
🙂
Thanks, SIG! We had a good day yesterday . . . with a sprinkling of chocolate tossed into the mix.
so cute!
Bunnies rock!
Hehe I do a sick pleasure when I bite the head off of a choocie bunny 🙂 I can’t eat dark chocolate though, I eat the bad stuff!
CHOMP! 😉
Yes… Dark chocolate is the best. I enjoy (in serious moderation) that sharp bitter taste. The other ‘chocolate’ I enjoy wears make-up most days but she doesn’t need it to look wonderful 😉
What a SWEET way to refer to your Sweetie! 😀
Thanks Nancy – I’ll put on my embarrassed face.. you know how much she means 🙂
Isn’t life GRAND with the right person by our side? There’s an old song that sums it up rather nicely:
Oh, we ain’t got a barrel of money
Maybe we’re ragged and funny
But we’ll travel the road
Sharing the load . . . side by side
Those bunnies! My dad cut that joke cartoon out for me many many moons ago, hadn’t seen it since. Brought nice memories back so thank you 🙂
BFF and I shared it Easter after Easter. It’s been around for many many moons. Still makes me smile.
It’s great, but it’s been literally over 10 years or more since I’d seen it. Loved it 🙂
Always the ears… I like corners. 🙂
