After the Pool Party at Harbour Isles, we drove down to Lido Key to do some “window shopping” on St. Armand’s Circle at the Sarasota Exotic Car Fest.

BFF saw more than a few cars that appealed to his sense of style, if not his pocketbook, including:

* a sleek black Aston Martin that has raced down the runway at Cape Canaveral at 186 mph.

* a Rolls Royce with beautiful teak dash which BFF admired as he sat in the driver’s seat and grasped the steering wheel.    Vroom . . . Vroom . . .

* a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport that made spectators gasp as they gawked.

Talk about sticker shock ~ the Bugatti Veyron, the most expensive new car in the world, sells for $1,990,000 . . . not including tax and tags.

We didn’t buy one.

Harbour Isles invited us to a Pool Party yesterday to celebrate the Grand Opening of their Kayak Launch and Pool.

They promised tropical food, tropical drinks, and tropical music.

With an invite like that . . . and a setting like this . . . how could we refuse?

Aah . . . that’s better!
