Years before we moved to Florida, our niece Sarah  created and sent us these adorable handmade critters ~perfect for a tropical holiday tablescape.

Her ornaments are colorful, fun, and unexpected.

Few Floridians use gators or snakes as holiday decor, preferring:

* Brightly lit palm trees  adorned with candy canes and flip flops

* Pink flamingos strutting about in Santa hats (“don we now, our  gay apparel”)

* Motion-activated mackerel, flounder, and grouper singing, We Wish You A Merry Christmas:

Good tidings to you, wherever you are
Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year

Now! bring us some figgy pudding (x3)
and bring some out here.

How silly . . . who’s going to believe singing fish like figgy pudding?!

And, yes, the ornament on the tree . . . Tigger approved!
