Who Hung The Moon? October 30, 2011

Who hung the moon
All Hallow’s Eve
Bright orange orb
Bare leafless trees
Silent silhouettes
Sway in the breeze
Ghosts and goblins
You must appease
Hand them fair treats
For if you displease
Tricks they’ll bestow
On unbent knees
And pale ribbons caught
In bare, spidery trees
Shall drift and sway
Stirred by the breeze
As the moon glows red
All Hallow’s Eve

What fun! Love the poem, the witch and the tablecloth.
Thanks for the reminder that it’s today – I need get some treats for the neighbourhood kiddywinkles.
Have fun!
Hope a few kiddywinkles show up ~ I love seeing them . . . with costumes and SMILES!
Nice poem! Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but I draw from the kids’ excitement. I like fun decorations (like yours) but skeletons give me the creeps.
I get to try my hand at vampire makeup (on my older son) tomorrow. Don’t worry, I’m keeping my day job 🙂
Have a fun Halloween!
Good luck with transforming your son into a vampire! 😯
Make sure they know not to eat any candy until you’ve looked it over and claimed your 10% commission. 😉
Lovely post, Nancy. I especially love the witch!
She belongs to a neighbor. When you pinch her hand . . . she cackles. 😆
Love that witch on the table… She looks like she could use some veggies. :lol
Maybe she’ll make herself some rutabaga and turnip soup.
