Music Monday: Dancing In The Dark September 26, 2011

Procrastination
Shuffling random paper piles
Out of sheer ennui

The sun emerges
Chasing idle cares away
Work will have to wait

Dancing on the deck
Decked out in t-shirt and shorts
This is where it’s at

It’s hard to be sad
In a life filled with laughter
Smiles displace frowns

Spirit and music
A life less ordinary
Melodies resound

Celebrating life
Being at one with the world
Dancing in the dark

Yeah, Dancing…! I’ve started getting out of the dark, out of myself, and more “out there” once I started dancing in my living room ;-D

I watched several of your videos ~ looks like you’re having a blast. I love dancing. Great exercise that always feels more like play than work. Groove to the tunes! 😎

Such a great singer. We always like watching that original video and seeing a certain young actress who’d later become famous.

nrhatch - September 26, 2011

She’s such a little “pixie” standing there in the audience. A fresh face, an “unknown” wannabe . . .

Then s~h~a~z~a~m! A rocket to stardom with 5 other Friends.

It’s ironic you should be speaking of dancing…
I just started getting braver about doing this in public…

Go you! Smooth moves!

I love dancing like no one’s watching . . . especially if no one is watching. 😉

Ooooh yeah, love me some Brucey baby! What great thoughts formed in haiku!

nrhatch - September 26, 2011

Thanks, Suzi ~ I love playing around with Haiku and Senyru:

Seventeen precise
syllables to convey a
thought. Spend them wisely.

Springstein’s the boss! He grew up in Freehold . . . next door to my hometown. I took music lessons there (both clarinet and piano) but his mojo didn’t rub off on me. 😉

5. LittleMissVix - September 26, 2011

Never really got into Bruce!

nrhatch - September 26, 2011

That’s the wonderful thing about music . . . there’s something for everyone. 😀

6. spilledinkguy - September 26, 2011

A pretty ‘Boss’ post!
😉

nrhatch - September 26, 2011

Thanks, SIG . . . you’re “tougher than the rest!” 😉

7. ceceliafutch - September 27, 2011

Woohoo! What a way to start my day. . . with the BRUCE! Thank you very much 😀

nrhatch - September 27, 2011

Glad you enjoyed, Cecelia. He’s put out some great tunes over the years. I appreciate him more now than when I was a teen.
