1. Pocket Perspectives - September 2, 2011

Okay….slightly confused. Was just looking at your post for Sept. 2..the photo challenge….and thinking…”hmm…paths…I have a wonderful path today on Reflections site….what is Nancy talking about?”…next thing I know there’s a “ping back”….what is a ping back? on Reflections…oh my, the very steep learning curve again. So…I see the link is above…”the path to peace”…nice. Actually, that path is a path to peace…both in the post and in real life. . I took that photo a few weeks ago in New Hampshire…it’s the path up to that absolutely beautiful, still, incredibly peaceful pond in the “stillness” post and photo on PocketPerspectives….imagining that pond led to me finally being able to quietly meditate…so, thanks, the path to peace. : )

nrhatch - September 2, 2011

I saw your post and the path and felt the peace and had to link up even though you didn’t post it specifically for the weekly photo challenge. 😀

A ping back is merely notice to you that someone has linked back to your post. They’re also called track backs.

Meditation . . . also a path to peace.

2. Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide - September 2, 2011

Love the shot with the bikes. And bunny ears are a perennial favorite.

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

Yes . . . bunny ears. That’s it. 😉

3. Pocket Perspectives - September 2, 2011

Okay…just lost my internet connection and lost a further reply…I was explaining that I just realized that the path in that photo on the “Reflections from a Friend” site is the path to the actual pond on the banner of Reflections site…and that’s how the site got its name. And…I see “synchronicity” in your tags for your post: a few hours ago I finished a card for tomorrow’s Reflections post…titled “synchronicity”…a perspective about synchronicity I had received from Jampa in January. When Jampa saw that pond on a window hanger that I sent to him in Australia, his comment was he wanted to go there for a very long solitary retreat…so indeed…a “path to peace”…. : )

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

I love the little winks, whispers, and nudges . . . the synchronicity and mystery of life.

When I saw that path on your post, it drew me in.

4. jannatwrites - September 2, 2011

Such a relaxing post. I love the photos – especially the second one. There’s a path I could enjoy 🙂

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

Thanks, Janna. I like paths . . . and boardwalks (especially through the marshy bits).

5. adeeyoyo - September 3, 2011

Beautiful walk in the first photo. Looks like a Botanical Garden… or the road to Eden. 😀

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

It’s a beautiful park ~ Myakka River State Park. That path leads to a hanging walkway in the trees. 😀

I love the photos: the light is beautiful and the relaxation just exudes from them. A path to peace indeed.

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

In the summer months, we do most of our walking on the beach to catch the sea breezes, but in the cooler months, there are wonderful inland areas to explore.

8. Naomi - September 3, 2011

Gorgeous paths & photo’s, Nancy!

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

The path beckons us forward . . . explore, dream, discover.

12. Christine Grote - September 3, 2011

I like the quote, “The way teaches the way.”

Who’s in the photos?

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

I love that quote ~ we learn to paint by painting, to sing by singing, to ride bikes by riding. Just start . . .

Those are two of our nieces (the ones who live in Florida). 😀

13. misswhiplash - September 3, 2011

wonderful pics and wonderful words..as usual!

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

Thanks, Patrecia.

We went off yesterday to enjoy a day at Ca d’Zan and the Ringling Circus Museums ~ not much time for cyber chats.

14. Penny - September 3, 2011

Our past represents our teachings, and what we have learned. Who we are now, is what we have chosen to follow along with new horizons we have developed from our journeys along the way. I am still learning, and still growing !!Great post !

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

Thanks, Penny. Glad you enjoyed.

Most days, I delight in the dance of life . . . the interplay between who I was and who I am becoming. Of course, there are days I’d rather “sit it out” for a bit. 😉

15. Maggie - September 3, 2011

Great pictures. Now I want to go there, haha!

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

The journey between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where the dance of life really takes place. ~ Barbara DeAngelis

It certainly is!

nrhatch - September 4, 2011

One of my favorite journey quotes . . . it’s not where we end up, it’s what we enjoy along the way.

Very wise words about paths in life.

nrhatch - September 8, 2011

We don’t always need to know exactly where we’re going to end up to know that we are headed in the right direction.

24. Tokeloshe - September 9, 2011

Very well done!

nrhatch - September 9, 2011

Thanks, Tok. I really enjoyed all the wonderful takes on the theme this week ~ paths beckon us forward to explore, dream, and discover what’s waiting for us just around the bend.
