CoWAbunger, Dudes (and Dudettes)! August 29, 2011

I received a FAB award this morning from a FAB blogger.

And it only cost me a case of Maltesers.

A small price to pay for the first ever CoWAbunger (TM) (Anybody know how to superscript?) Trophy.

Thanks, TillyB!

That case of Maltesers is on its way.

Best part . . . no rules about what I need to do as the recipient.

Nonetheless, because good karma should always be recirculated, I am passing the CoWAbunger (a/k/a Consolation of the Week Award) on to Miss Whip Lash because she needs consoling after her techno-challenging week.

She, in turn, can keep it on her cyber mantel or pass it along to whomever she feels deserves or needs it the most.  Maltesers optional.

Aah . . . that’s better!

I’ll concede the point but not the Maltesers 😀

nrhatch - August 29, 2011

They are yours . . . every last one.

If the hubs tries to claim a 10% commission as your Blog Agent, do not compromise your values to meet his expectations.

Thanks again, Tilly!
Truly a delightful surprise for a Monday morning.

Here’s someone who can do superscript:
http://citiesofthemind.org/2011/08/28/smaller-things/

See: Pink Duck ™ tape with an elevated ™ . . . and that’s not the only reason that Connor’s posts are worth reading.

Even when he has nothing much to say . . . he says it so well.

Tilly Bud - August 31, 2011

Thanks 🙂

2. misswhiplash - August 29, 2011

ooooooh thank you girls! I never got an award before even a consolation reward. I am tickled..in fact I am so tickled that I am tickled pink…

Can I have the picture of the Maltesers as well! I love them, especially when you suck all the chocolate off and just leave the crunchie malty bit.

Not a chance in BG so I shall wait till Christmas!

Thank you, thank you thank you

nrhatch - August 29, 2011

Well, if you’re tickled pink . . . your avatar is PERFECT!

Yes, help yourself to the bag of Maltesers as well ~ it’s from Wikipedia and they like to share. 😀

Patrecia . . . it has been an absolute delight getting to know you as our cyber paths cross. Your posts make me smile as do your comments.

You rock! In bright shades of PINK! 😎

3. Rufus' Food and Spirits Guide - August 29, 2011

Well, you are quite fabulous. Congrats.

nrhatch - August 29, 2011

Thanks, Rufus! Now you’re in the running for the Compliment of the Week Award.

TillyB’s ripple of kindness is soon to be a tidal wave of compassion.

4. Paula Tohline Calhoun - August 29, 2011

How about an award for the person who has RECEIVED the MOST consolation? Hands down, it would be me. . .I’ll add that to my last pre-blogatical post this evening. . .

You have all been far too good to me, which I figure is just about enough. . .

😆

nrhatch - August 29, 2011

I think that we have given you just ENOUGH support . . . enough to keep your head above water, without causing you to become big headed. 😛

Actually, that gives me an idea for you to use to keep your blog alive during your blog sabbatical ~ instead of asking for guest blogs, pick a favorite post each week from someone else’s blog and give them an award. Something like:

PTCBSAFMFPOTW ~ Paula Tohline Calhoun’s Blog Sabbatical Award For My Favorite Post Of The Week.

You could create the award using one of your gorgeous photos of butterflies and butterfly bushes ~ maybe a different one each week . . . to keep us guessing.

Tilly Bud - August 30, 2011

That’s a great idea!

5. brainrants - August 29, 2011

Mmmmm those look like Malted Milk Balls… mmmm…. nom nom nom

nrhatch - August 29, 2011

She might trade you a few for one of those chocolate chocolate chip cookies . . . but don’t count on it. 😉

Tilly Bud - August 30, 2011

You got that right 🙂

6. See you later! « Reflections From a Cloudy Mirror - August 29, 2011

[…] a way to keep my blog simmering while I’m away, and I think I might take her up on it!  This link will take you to the comments section of that blog […]

7. adeeyoyo - August 29, 2011

I am SO happy for you, Nancy! and Patrecia (Whiplash) too – a worthy successor!

nrhatch - August 30, 2011

A delightful surprise from TillyB . . . sharing it with Patrecia was the icing on an already delicious cake.

NOT a cow patty . . . a cake! 😉

8. Cindy - August 30, 2011

You so deserve the award Nancy, well done!

nrhatch - August 30, 2011

I hope that Tilly awards the COWAbunger trophy each week to one of her favorite comments. Such a great idea! 😀

Tilly Bud - August 31, 2011

I will.

nrhatch - August 30, 2011

Oh, no! Tilly called me a . . . re-gifter! 😆

Tilly Bud - August 31, 2011

Heehee 🙂

10. andalibmarks - August 30, 2011

Congrats!
*#*

nrhatch - August 30, 2011

Thanks, Andi. I had fun being both award recipient and “re-gifter” yesterday.

I love TillyB’s idea to award the COWAbunger trophy each week . . . maybe PTC will keep her blog alive during her sabbatical by doing something along the same lines.

11. Sandra Bell Kirchman - August 30, 2011

I can just hear Howdy Doody saying, “Cowabunga, Buffalo Bob!” So I congratulate you and say, “Cowabunga, Buffalo Nancy!” 🙂

nrhatch - August 30, 2011

Tilly’s idea is terrific ~ selecting the Laughing Housewife’s Comment of the Week. Bribes optional. 😛

12. kateshrewsday - August 31, 2011

Congratulations, both; good to see such star material on the cyberred carpet.

Sandra Bell Kirchman - August 31, 2011

Now there’s an interesting thought. I wonder what shade cyberred is. 😉

nrhatch - August 31, 2011

Hmm . . . cyberred?

The shade might depend on whether the internet is sailing along like a high speed rail . . . or dragging us down like a mulish donkey. 😆

13. Alannah Murphy - August 31, 2011

Congrats, looks awesome. Never liked Malteses, not sure why, think it’s their aftertaste. Hmmm…if I am ever famous, I’ll have a rider that says “No Maltesers, only M & M’s” 😉

nrhatch - August 31, 2011

I’m with you . . . dark chocolate M&M’s are one of my faves.

Sandra Bell Kirchman - August 31, 2011

Weird, my faves are M&Ms as well – chocolate only (not peanut or raisin).

nrhatch - September 1, 2011

Chocolate is one of the simple pleasures of life. 😀

14. Naomi - September 3, 2011

Oh, so THAT’s what cowabunger means! 😀 Thx for sharing, Nancy…now I need some chocolate!

nrhatch - September 3, 2011

Tilly coined the term . . . probably because she found a trophy with a cow on it that needed a name. Very MOOving! 😉

I wonder if “cowabunga” (as used by Howdy Doody) has a specific meaning? I’ve always taken it as a nonsensical exclamation. . . “life goes on . . . have at it!” 😉

15. Tokeloshe - September 9, 2011

Well done!

nrhatch - September 9, 2011

Wonderful idea of Tilly’s to highlight favorite comments. The award this week was a cow wearing a kilt and waving a dirk. Made me laugh.
