Flowers dot the landscape

Living in pots

Or small garden plots

Wafting delicious scents on summer breezes

Energizing us with beauty, color, and fragrance

Recalling us back to the present moment

Scents and Scent’s Ability

Decidedly Delicious Days August 19, 2011

Tigger-BouncingIf you’ve known me for any length of time, you probably suspect (correctly) that I have more good days than bad days:

* I remind myself to look for the silver lining in any cloud that appears on my horizon, and tend to ignore the tarnish marring its silver finish.

* I focus on the positives, and do my best to ignore the negatives . . . unless and until they jump up and bite me in the butt (which has happened, on rare occasion).

While I would love to claim having had an easy-going and accepting nature since birth, such a claim would be an egregious lie.

In my younger years, I slammed more than my fair share of doors, and punched a few walls for good measure.

While the specific reasons have faded, in each instance my actions stemmed from a desire to make my fleeting frustrations known to those around me ~ whether or not those in close proximity were the cause of my frustration.

Fortunately, those days are behind me now ~ most of the time, anyway.

Not so long ago, I visited a friend’s blog to poke my nose about.  After enjoying a look around, I found a link to Spirit Lights The Way on her favorites page:

Nancy has a very spiritual take on the craft of writing; calming and soothing. You read her blog and come away with the sense that whatever is wrong in your life, it will get better.

Stumbling across those warm words felt unexpectedly delightful ~ a bit like walking into a surprise party  planned just for me.  The warmth of her words lingers.

When we learn to go with the flow, we stop wasting so much energy rocking the boat (and tipping the boat over).   We more easily accept the “what is,” realizing that how we relate to the issue IS the issue.

Our increasing acceptance of the external world (even the less savory bits) leads to concomitant peace, harmony, and serenity within ~ a more enduring form of happiness.

We flow more easily through our days, focusing on the many blessings in life.

But even in a sea of good days, certain days stand out from the rest ~ the decidedly delicious days.

Have a fabulous, fantastic Friday . . . filled with decidedly delicious moments.
