How inviting is this photograph….I just want to run and jump off! Splash…ahhhhh!
Tempting, isn’t it!
We hopped on a boat to tour Anna Maria Sound and visit Gilligan’s Island.
Great interpretation.
Nature did all the work! Blue sky and blue water beckoning.
loved it.. not just an entrance, but it gives off the sense of “walking through it…” simply loved it… congrats!
Thanks! Glad it pulled you in! 😀
I love your take on “Entrance”!
Thanks, Barb. I stumbled into this shot as I uploaded some other pics from my camera and had an “ah ha!” moment.
Beautiful!
We live in a beautiful area with photo ops wherever we look:
We’re not alone
How could we be
Where land and sky
Greet the sea
entrance…to life…splendid!!!
aloha for the mention. 😉
Thanks, hugmamma. You did a wonderful job with this challenge. Your slide show is spectacular.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Linda. I knew a “beach baby” like you would enjoy this view. 😀
Oh My Goodness….that looks so inviting!!! I will be right over…
We could sit on the dock eating beignets and drinking cafe au lait! 😀
Excellent match, words and pic, Nancy! Love both!
Thanks, Denise. When I pulled this photo off my camera, I knew I needed to share it. 😀
Stunning photo! Way to go, Nancy!
Do you see the two wispy “ghosts” in the sky? I don’t recall them being there when I took the shot. 😯
Someone’s been busy with the paint brush – must be ex-Navy 🙂 Love those Blues!
This dock is in a new neighborhood across the street ~ the guy in charge of sales and promotion does look like ex-Navy! 😀
I love this one.
Thanks, Tilly.
If you make it across the pond, we’ll spend some time . . . sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tide roll away. 😀
How lovely to see an Entrance that is not a door way. This is the great thing about belonging to WordPress community..we each see things in a different perspective and we can share those ideas worldwide.
lovely photo and very inviting x
Thanks, MW! As I sat on the retaining wall in front of the dock (waiting for “my ship to come in”), I snapped the shot and then forgot about it . . . until yesterday.
While uploading the shots of my No Sew Valance, I saw this one and thought, “Entrance!”
I like that pristine gateway… the ocean calls. 🙂
I’ve rarely met a dock I did not wish to traverse to the last plank.
Thanks for the link, Nancy.
Loved your stairwell in the Japanese castle . . . so enticing. 😀
Love this photo. I just want to run down it and dive…
Thanks, EB.
It reminds me of the movie company that starts its films with a boy running and jumping off the end of a dock . . . before the frame freezes with him in mid-air.

Very cool photo. The depth and perspective are refreshing. Nice take! : )
Oh, it goes perfectly with your moniker . . . just ramblin’ pier! 😀
Nice one 🙂
I love this photo! Your sea looks so inviting and calm!
Great idea re. the related posts to share other bloggers photos! 🙂
Thanks, PiP! That’s the Anna Maria Sound (between Perico Island and Anna Maria Island). The Gulf of Mexico is straight ahead . . . just on the other side of AMI.
Both the Sound and the Gulf are calmer than the Atlantic or Pacific ocean ~ like all large bodies of water, the waves can spring into action on a moments notice.
I try to link to other bloggers whenever we share a related theme ~ the photo challenges, Sidey’s weekend theme, or the WP daily prompts (when I do them).

Beautiful photo, you almost feel like jumping into the water! I came to your blog via Piglet in Portugal. Have enjoyed reading some of your other posts too.
Thanks, Sami! Glad you enjoyed looking around.
I checked out a few of your posts too. I didn’t comment because I find leaving comments on blogspot too cumbersome. But I enjoyed your boat ride with the seals.
Hi Nancy, that’s interesting about blogspot and comments because so do I. Thorny Rose in chile for example, I have to go through hoops to leave a comment on her blog…. Sometimes I write a comment on a blogspot blog and no matter what I do it just wont accept it!
Yes, Leaving comments on there is a pain in the . . . neck. 😉
Beautiful photo!
Thanks, Ruth. Beauty abounds where sea and sky collide. 😎
Love it!
Thanks, Tok. Picture a campfire just to the right with Adirondack chairs surrounding its perimeter. 😀
Lovely entrance photo!
Thanks, Doris! Loved your door . . . both versions. 😀
