Years ago, when I first stopped practicing law, I bumped into a quote by an unknown author on a waiting room wall.
The quote, displayed on a simple poster, shared a truth that I desperately needed to hear that day as I “floundered” in the search for my “next best career.”
As soon as I read the words, peace filled my being and I relaxed into the uncertainty ~ filled with an instilled knowingness that we do not need to see the destination to commence the journey.
The lesson shared in its words has stayed with me since that magical moment in time, perhaps waiting for me to share it with you:
Listening to your heart, finding out who you are, is not simple. It takes time for the chatter to quiet down.
In the silence of “not doing” we begin to know what we feel.
If we listen and hear what is being offered, anything in life can be our guide.
